Mark “The property itself was great.”
Great location with great views, spacious bedrooms and living rooms. Very sunny with great outdoor deck options. However, the bed in the second bedroom was not comfortable, it comprised of a fixed slat bed with two very thin foam mattresses on top. You could feel all the slats. The sofa was much more comfortable. This really needs changing. Another annoyance was that both TVs did not work during our 3 day stay and the wifi instructions in the guest compendium were not correct and we were missing bath mats and face cloths from the linen supplied. If these items were remedied, this would make a great base from which to explore Wellington.
- Mark, December 2024Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the property’s location and amenities. We sincerely apologise for the issues with the second bedroom bed, the TVs, Wi-Fi instructions, and missing linen. We’re addressing these with the owner and team to ensure improvements. We appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you back soon. If you have any further concerns, please let us know. Best regards Bachcare
Katherine “The house was warm, comfortable with great views.”
However there were issues e.g. food rubbish in bedroom drawers, no kitchen sink plug, leaking toilet, no secure internet, limited cutlery, crockery, pots - 1 missing handle & 2 unwashed, minimum e.g. salt, coffee, no dishwasher tablets. Bachcare of very limited help. No contact from Property Manager. PS Didn't bother us but lawns need mowing.

Keren “Our family of four had a wonderful six-night stay in this beautiful home.”
The house was far more spacious that we anticipated, allowing plenty of room for our two teenage girls to have their own space when needed. The living room is a great size with comfortable couches and a large smart TV. It was mid-winter when we stayed so we didn't use the sunroom or the deck, but they are lovely spaces and I imagine they'd be amazing in the warmer months. The windows are double glazed and the heating was very effective, so we kept nice 'n toasty. And that VIEW! The photos really don't do it justice. I loved watching the clouds and ferries roll in. One side of the house looks down across a beautiful dense bush-lined gully, so there are no close neighbours there, and the birdsong is a delight. We had a hire car so it was an easy to drive into the city and zip up the hill to the Khandallah Village for groceries and cafes. Suggestion: a hairdryer would be a nice addition. This really was a perfect home-base for our Wellington holiday. Thank you.
- Keren, July 2024Serena “Not being advised that BOTH televisions dont work was not great.”
We had no option by that stage. Travelling with a child does make access to a TV easier. We by no means watch TV all day but they are handy once in a while. It did have a feeling as if someone had just left the house as there were dishes on the bench, a towel on the back of a door, and shoes by the door. We also put a courier parcel inside. We couldnt play a radio or have music as there were no speakers (or a tv to use for spotify).
- Serena, May 2024Francois “It was just pure joy.”
- Francois, May 2024Dene “Beautiful property with magnificent view.”
you don't have to leave the house to have a relaxing stay in Wellington. Unfortunately, rubbish was not removed from the bin and the dishwasher was not unpacked when we arrived. The hairdryer did not work and there are no dinner knives in the cutlery set. it rained and there was a leak in the sun room. Other than the above, the house is well equipped and it was such a delight staying there.
