The view from this property is absolutely incredible, the area is very peaceful and feels safe within the small community and is very close proximitey of neighbouring properties both sides, maybe just a little too close! Bachcare were great to deal with, we asked to pay extra money so we could arrive early as we came off a 13 hour flight that arrived at 6am on the day of our booking - they were very quick to get back to us and process the additional charge to accomodate our request. The view from this property is absolutely incredible, the area is very peaceful and feels safe within the small community and is very close proximitey of neighbouring properties both sides, maybe just a little too close! Bachcare were great to deal with, we asked to pay extra money so we could arrive early as we came off a 13 hour flight that arrived at 6am on the day of our booking - they were very quick to get back to us and process the additional charge to accomodate our request. The property itself unfortunatley lacked cleanliness with thick layers of dust, cobwebs and dirt on the floor when we arrived. The fridge was full of empty bottles of condiments that had expiry dates from over a year ago, lids were not secured harbouring bacteria & mould throughout the fridge. The kitchen cupboards had dirty dishes and some of the drawers were full of rubbish, were unkept and dirty. They were also full of left over food from other guests that needed to be thrown in the bin. It is extremely hot and unbearable inside the home with no air conditioning and no fans. The afternoon sun hits inside the home, it was so hot you couldn't breathe! There are no fly screens on doors or windows apart from the main bedroom, so letting any breeze circulate meant letting in mosquitos, flys and bugs, we were bitten badly by mosquitos trying to cool the home. There are blinds, however this meant having no view for most of the day making the highlight of this property pointless! We assumed that a TV would be a standard inclusion, even though not listed it should be made very clear in the listing instead of making it clear within the property notes when you arrive - same with air conditioning, at the very least provide a fan. Both beds are extremely uncomfortable and need replacing. The spring mattresses cut into you, we tried both beds. We could not sleep and ended up with aches and pains. At the bare minimum they need a mattress topper with a cooling comforter on top of that! The pillows were also terrible. The bathroom has been renovated which is lovely, however the floors were filthy when we arrived and there was a dirty, used towel thrown into one of the drawers. The security cameras both back and front felt like you were being watched - due to the safe area and neighbours so close each side we felt these were unnecassary and served no purpose as theives will break in regardless - plus one of the bedroom windows (one without a flyscreen and not in view of the security camera) was left wide open when we arrived, no doubt trying to circulate some air inside! The gardens were completly overgrown with some of the biggest thistle weeds I've ever seen, they were close to walkways making it difficult not to brush past them - ouch!!!! If we were to return to the area there are other properties that provide air conditioning, TV and incredible views for the same price. I think the owners of this property need to consider this, provide better comfort and organise a serious spring clean both inside and out!
