Enjoy the privacy of your own self-contained studio room in an immaculately kept guesthouse, where the only thing superior to the award-winning gardens is the warm hospitality of your host as and when you’d like it. A cosy evening on the couch in front of the TV might be just the ticket after an adventurous day on the walking and cycle trails. Prepare meals in your simple yet well-equipped kitchen, before retiring for the evening in your comfy queen size bed. On those warm summer days, take your living outdoors to your private deck where views of the garden and a soundtrack of native birdsong are sure to plunge you into a state of bliss. Upepo - The Garden Room is located in stunning Cape Foulwind, just 12 minutes from the township of Westport, and 10 minutes from the airport. Close to the end of Old Ghost Road, this spot is a great launch pad for exploring this exquisite part of the West Coast. Cycle the completed section of the Kawatiri Coastal Trail, or take a stroll on the Cape Foulwind Walkway to catch a glimpse of native New Zealand fur seals as they lounge about on the rocks. If you fancy winding down with something a little bit special at the end of the day, there’s a massage therapist just down the road, as well as a great pub for a bite! About the location

Cape Foulwind was named by Captain Cook, after he was kept offshore for a week during a raging storm. The Cape Foulwind Walkway stretches for four kilometres, and offers views whatever the weather, of the coastline and famous fur seal colony.
