Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Sitting just opposite the beachfront, this is sunshine living at its best. Welcome to the Hidden Cove Gem! Cosy and relaxing, this beach house is an ideal spot for a couple or small family getaway. With polished wooden floors that perfectly compliment the white interior and filled with a variety of decor that gives the home character and charm, summer never felt so good. Admire the sea views right from your bedroom window, spark up the bbq and enjoy kiwi styled breakfast out by the outdoor dining area, lounge around to a great indoor/outdoor flow and enjoy a nice glass of wine as you feel yourself at ease and right into the summer spirit. Just seconds from the beach, take the kayak down and head off for a morning paddle as the sun comes up, or enjoy a good book as you layout under the sun. If you feel like trying out a few eateries, Waipu Pizza barn is just a 13-minute drive up the road. For your next summer Northland adventure, find the Hidden Cove Gem!

Please note that the driveway at this property is being upgraded in 2020. However, in the meantime, it is a grass driveway and therefore suitable for dry weather only. In wet weather, it is recommended guests are parked on the kerb as the driveway becomes walking access only.

Please note that the spare room opens out to the lounge and does not have a door.

About the location

A long standing favourite amongst Northland's beach side gems, Langs Beach is always a popular destination. Ideal for long walks and meandering about the many coves the areas has to offer; one might even see a pod of dolphins that often visit Ding Bay! Langs is a great spot to get amongst the beach scene with your friends and family and simply soak in the scenery! “Very old and needs to have the piles replaced.”

Entire house is on a lean and the floor in one of the bedrooms felt so unstable, I thought I was going to fall through it. Bathroom is external. Deck area is great. Excellent location. Well-equipped and clean. Great WiFi.

“This Bach is extremely over priced.”

It was dirty when we arrived. No dishwasher, no washing machine, no cold water in the bathroom basin. This was all ok but when my two sons took the kayaks out for about 2km with all their diving gear on and both kayaks had leaks and had to try get to the nearest rocks pulling them whilst trying to swim in the strong current’s, they almost drowned. They lost some diving gear but just happy that they are alive. They are two strong young men, if it was a women out there it could have ended tragically. This place needs to be bashed down and rebuilt. It’s obviously just someone’s money machine. Extremely disappointing!

All equipment provided at the property is at the user’s risk. The listed amenities at the property do not include a dishwasher or a washing machine, however, you may be pleased to know that a washing machine has recently been added. Facilities very traditional and basic - external bathroom an inconvenience. Cosy is about the nicest description - but has probably been a great family holiday bach over the years! Ready for a re-build!

“This is a horrendously overpriced bach.”

If you are looking for a quintessential bach experience it’s here, but don’t go in peak season when the owners hike their rates. It looks like it has direct access to the beach but is hemmed in a not private. Houses on all sides and directly in front. Very disappointed. Worst of all accomodation we had over 4 weeks break.

“With one of the bedrooms having no door at all and the toilet not having a lock as well, "privacy" means nothing at this place.”

We were two couples and had to decide who's sleeping with their partner in the room without a door facing the lounge area. We also left a bag in front of the bathroom to indicate someone is inside. Therefore, you need to leave your "dignity" behind when you get here! Other than that, old rusty barbeque with the lights for that area not working (we barbequed at night with our cellphone's flashlight), shower drainage was blocked so we could only take 2-5mins showers. You can just imagine what kind oof traumatising experience we had with all these. Location was good with a decent view but well overpriced for a property of its age most especially with the issues above.
