A wonderful property, full of charm. Modern kitchen was great to cook in, beds comfortable, backyard an absolute treat with swing for young son and a safe space for the dog. Would definitely rent again.

Totally charming cottage, very well appointed and a lovely garden. We are very grateful that we could take our dogs. Totally relaxing, highly recommended.

Lovely little cottage, close to town but found a few things disappointing.

Bachcare replied

We're glad that you loved the cottage, and thank you for your feedback. It looks as though we did let you down with the BBQ not being as clean as you expected, and we hope to welcome you back soon to show that this is not the usual Bachcare standard. Thank you for your review!

The Historic, beautifully renovated home is sunny, tastefully furnished and well equipped. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, cinema, Akaroa beach whilst the Garden of Tane is just a stone's throw away. There is a stunning bay view from the upstairs bedroom, comfy beds in every room, a large kitchen/dining area which for me was the heart of this home, contemporary cooking and bathroom facilities, a log burner with awesome wood supplies, a sweet well kept garden and plenty of native bird song. Most grateful :)

This bach was fabulous , it was warm close to town and the ocean, facilities were great and the shower was amazing. We were so happy we could take our beagle the place was perfect for her and she had a great time as did we. Would recommend this place it really is a great example of a traditional NZ Bach with all the mod cons you need :)

Akaroa Charm was a stunning house in beautiful condition, the house was super comfy and relaxing. The open fire was wonderful in the cool evenings and it was great being able to walk to the waterfront and shops

We only had a short stay but it was the most enjoyable time. The house was beautifully clean with easy access to everything. The fire, oohhh the fire was awesome. My biggest plus to this property tho was the fact it was dog friendly. For those of us that can travel without out best companions, these homes are a godsend, and this one was no exception. Fully fenced back lawn and gardens, a dog's heaven. Combine all this with the sun and warmth while sitting on the front verandah means we will be back!
