Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
Resting on the hillside up against the lush native bush of Stanley Park, Rue Noyer Lookout was built to embrace the scenery of Akaroa countryside and the waters of Akaroa Harbour. This holiday home has a large open plan living space that is filled with natural light and connects itself to the balcony that spans the length of the front of the house. So for those mornings spent taking in the fresh air, step out to the balcony straight from the master bedroom! If you're planning a summer escape, then you can't go wrong here at Rue Noyer Lookout. With indoor/outdoor flow from the living areas, air conditioning to set the perfect temperature for you and your family and BBQ on hand for those classic kiwi summers dinners. Stay home and enjoy some downtime with the family or venture out to explore Akaroa. You'll love being just a 5-minute walk from the downtown waterfront and wharf, local restaurants, cottage library and cafe/movie theatre! Relax in comfort and take in the views of Rue Noyer Lookout!

Anne “The house was very comfortable and quiet, but the outside was a mess.”
Leaves and litter at the front door are not very appealing. The decks both sides of the house were covered in leaves and dust and the outdoor furniture was very dusty. The view would have been great if we could have looked at it through clean windows!

Cleanliness was excellent. The property requires maintenance. There are doors that don’t close, the outside had old furniture that needed to go to the dump. Outside lights didn’t work making it tough going to BBQ!

It was in a quiet cul-de-sac but only a few minutes walk to the town. The views from the balcony were lovely. Unfortunately a few things let it down a little. Cleaning could have been better. There were crumbs in the kitchen and thick dust on the drawers in the master. The bathroom toilet bin had not been emptied from previous people, so I did that. There was not enough toilet roll for 6 people (previous people have complained about this and the comments showed more provisions would be available), we paid for linen and not all pillows had pillowcases on them. There were no locks on either toilet door. A little more effort would make it a fantastic place.

Duncan “Have stayed here before but we should have been warned about the condition of the house.”
1/ Toilet in en-suite not to be used and out of order and no door catch. 2/ Other upstairs toilet struggled to flush properly and door catch installed the wrong way round. 3/ No lights working in passage or stairwell 4/Bathroom Shower rose falling down on friction control 5/Screws in top hinge on bathroom door flagged out so door won't shut properly. 6/ Plug with WiFi on it wouldn't work vacuum cleaner. Bit short on good glasses. The house is ideal for 6 to 8 people and we made do with any inadequacies ,but we should have been warned about the things I have mentioned.

Fantastic location and views. However the house lacked basic amenities like kitchen cleaning products and basic pantry staples you would expect when paying this amount for house. Had to buy toilet paper and various other cleaning products that one would have thought would be available.

It’s location is very close to the beach and shops and has a beautiful outlook of sea and hills. The neighbouring properties are a lovely setting and the people are very friendly and welcoming too. The house is spacious and worked extremely well for 6 adults, a child and 2 babies. It felt very homely, we would definitely go back.

The weather was very bad during our stay however the beds were comfortable and warm, the central heating kept the house toasty during our entire stay and the internal garaging kept us dry while getting in and out of the car. The view was ever-changing but especially beautiful when the sun did peep through.
