To be nestled in amongst the bush with all the beautiful birdlife - what an absolute treat. The large deck was great and we got to enjoy the morning and afternoon sun. The log burner kept the place warm. We will be back for sure. Thank you for having this available to rent.

Feels really private, is nestled in amongst the trees with native birds everywhere, could spend hours out on the deck soaking it all in. Will definitely be booking this house again.

The layout couldn't be better, a nice set up with magical views. If the nightly rate was more affordable, I'd certainly stay again.

Friendly service too... when we arrived the light was on & a heater on low to warm up the room on a cold day. Very welcoming. It's a peaceful spot with a great outlook & just what we needed to recharge.

You really felt like you were in the bush with all the birdsong and a very friendly kereru perching in the tree. Well equipped with most everything you need.

We enjoyed morning cups of tea and evening refreshments on the deck, soaking in the beautiful view of the harbour. Close enough to Akaroa and the activities but French bay is removed enough to feel like you are getting 'away' from it all. The kereru kept us endlessly entertained and the place was clean and tidy. We were only a party of two, so felt very spacious for the two of us. Would definitely recommend.

The views and bird life were what made it extra special. The house was well equipped and a great layout. Really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back. Drive way is pretty steep but the view makes up for it.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. Weâll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

At the end of a big day out, bring everyone together in the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area for some delicious holiday meals or to unwind in front of the TV. Try some local wine from the French Farm Winery with restaurant and bar is just a 3-minute drive from your front door! Lots of wonderful little bays nearby to choose from to test the water including Wainui Beach just a 6-minute drive, where you will also find boat storage available to rent, and fishing charters leaving from French Farm.
