Really enjoyed it but not the shower. Claw foot bath was difficult to climb into as it was quite high sided. Curtain area small and difficult to keep water off the floor. A walk in shower would be great. Otherwise wonderful house.

Every detail has been thought about and the effort put into the experience was amazing. Firstly the bedrooms were huge, comfortable beds and an ensuite each with a bath. We loved the underfloor heating in the bathrooms and the extra touches such as bath soak, candles, and amenities. The honesty bar, tea and coffee supplies and pantry went above and beyond expectation. This made cooking and drink making a breeze. The cottage itself is within an easy walking distance to both set of shops and a huge bonus was being able to take our wee dog with us. We are looking forward to staying again in future.

Very close to town, a very short walk. Huge bedrooms and fantastic ensuites in theme of the 'old Akaroa'. A very well thought out villa.

The villa is immaculate and every little detail has been taken care of, with the utmost charm. It has the feel of a very high quality B&B - with the bonus that you have the whole house to yourself. The beds are huge and really comfortable - and beautiful. The location is excellent, literally a few minutes walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. When we arrived it was a bit chilly, and Karen who welcomed us had lit the fire which was such a welcome touch! We left wishing that we had booked for several days more.
