Overview

Enjoying a stunning setting with serene harbour views, Blueberry Bach is a 2 bedroom Port Levy bach. The spacious section and gorgeous surrounds offer an idyllic hideaway at Banks Peninsula!

This traditional Port Levy bach offers laid back living with an easy outdoor flow for a perfect cruisy summer option... Unwind on the porch while the kids enjoy the spacious section, fire up the BBQ for classic kiwi dining, or simply unwind and marvel at the scenery! Although the bach is fairly compact, there are 2 lounge and dining areas, ensuring everyone can find their favourite spot to relax.

Bedroom 1 at this Port Levy Bach is fitted with a queen bed, while bedroom 2 has 2 single bunk sets. For summer holidays there is additional sleeping available in the front sunroom, including a double bed and sofa bed - this area has gorgeous views and opens directly onto the front porch...

When you are not gazing at the views, stroll a few moments from the bach to the harbour and jetty or explore the wider area. Guests have access to 1 double, and 2 single kayaks, a variety of different sized life jackets, as well as a public boat launch nearby. You are just over an hours drive from Christchurch town centre, and less than an hour to Akaroa.

Your picturesque harbour haven awaits at Port Levy... Welcome to Blueberry Bach!

Absolutely terrific holiday. This house was perfect in every way we could have imagined. Secluded from cell and internet coverage and positioned right on the waterfront gave us all the more time to kayak and do a spot of fishing without having to worry about being too tired to walk or drive miles back to have something to eat. Tracey, our holiday manager was very friendly, helpful and communicative leading up to our stay. Couldn't have asked for any better. Thanks

There were rats in bbq area and rats in the ceiling of the front room. There were mice in the kitchen, - seen running over the kitchen floor and found they had eaten our food that we tried to store safely on top of the fridge. The nearest shop is about 20k away so contaminated food was a problem. The light in the front porch is permanently live- I guess that’s why the owners had removed the lightbulb. This creates the risk of electrical shock. Some of the floor boards are so rotten that only the carpet is giving support. The lack of insulation breaches the Healthy Housing Act. The house needs to be repiled , rewired, Reroofed and repainted. The photos on the web don’t match the reality. This is misrepresentation. The bunk beds were suitable for small children but really uncomfortable for an adult, and the water pump noise was so annoying that we couldn’t sleep in the bunk room. The washing machine was not working. An element on the stove wasn’t working. This property is very overpriced for what it provides.

Thanks for your review Tracey. We're sorry that Blueberry Bach didn't meet your expectations on this occasion. We have passed on your feedback to the property owner who is planning some future renovations of this 100 year old villa. Understandably it might be showing it's age and the owner is hoping to titivate the property over time.

Bach very well positioned with lovely view. Tidy up front garden would enhance further. Well equipped in kitchen, bedding. Enjoyed kayaks. A little overpriced compared to others we have used on the Peninsula.

Great spot to hang out whether the weather was warm or cold. Nice touches like novels and board games. Wonderful place for a family / couples to spend time together. We brought everything we needed and didn't need to get in the car again until checkout. Plenty to explore and do if you like the sea and having the kayaks was a bonus.
