Neglected, tired & does not reach the level it could due to it’s brilliant position and potential.

Thanks for your feedback Neville. We're sorry to hear you felt the Hayshed is in need of some love and will be working with the property owners and local team on any improvements we can introduce to turn this around. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the great location!

Wairoro Park offers a peaceful and private stay, rural, yet not far from town. The views from the Chalet were beautiful. The Chalet was super clean, comfortable and functional. There was a dinghy available to use and we did some great fishing right in front of the park.

The property does not match the photos/description. Very tired and over-run grounds with long term renters (not holiday makers) in other accommodation units. Not at all like a current holiday 'park' vibe. Definitely has potential, can see it would've been great in yesteryear, but needs a lot of work to get back to that potential.

Bachcare replied

Thank you for your feedback Bevan! We're sorry to hear you didn't fully enjoy your stay at Wairoro Park, a location with a retro, 70's feel indeed. All units had the kitchens and bathrooms renovated 2 years ago with new TVs added recently. Staying on top of maintenance is paramount to the property owners, to whom we've passed your comments to ensure any necessary improvements are worked on. There is one unit occupied by guests who couldn't make their way back home overseas due to the pandemic but we normally only accommodate short term stays. Thank you again for your valuable review!

Cute little spot in lovely surroundings. Close to the Russell car ferry, however is down a very long driveway.

This was a perfect place for our large family group and suited adults, kids and dogs. The private beach and pohutakawa in flower are idyllic. There are many choices for activities, or relaxing and ‘doing nothing’. With no light pollution this is a great place for star gazing at night. Highly recommended.
