We picked a very hot week & the first night of our stay was particularly difficult trying to cool down the upstairs as we have two young children. We did bring black out curtains, which helped. Would be a lovely house to stay in during the colder months as very cosy. We would stay here again. Thank you.

this is the third time that we have stayed. We always leave the property clean and tidy and were very surprised at the exorbitant cleaning fee that Bachcare charges. $285 seems really over the top considering there is not a lot of cleaning to be done.

A manual with basic instructions would be helpful. Would not stay in this house again, and would probably not use bachcare again considering they did not help at all with the Heatpump.

If we are to stay in Hanmer again, I will be sure to check if this home is available. The only issue I would have to raise is the heat pump/s. There is a standard heat pump but the power to this is off with a cable tie preventing someone from turning it on (I went downstairs and checked the outside unit as there was nothing to explain why it wouldnât work when the remote was turned on) The other unit, which I am guessing is meant to be used instead of the heat pump is useless. We did use the fire at night time but in the morning access to the âstandard heat pumpâ would have been great.

The house is quite small but comfortable. No instructions whatsoever regarding where/how to locate movies. Couldn't get hard drive working and neither could Markus, the property manager. Facilities are good but overall the place could be better presented. Section great for the dogs.

Everything was neat and clean. The fireplace is fantastic and there was lots of firewood available. Right next to the forest so easy to go for an early morning or evening walk amongst the beautiful trees.

Property is clean and tidy with basic amenities. The bathroom door needs addressing as itâs very hard to open and close. Property being offered for pets provides no outdoor area in winter as itâs incredibly muddy. Outdoor area unusable at the moment.

In the meantime the bottom area of the garden is being fenced off so that a small outdoor area is available for pets. Bachcare

Upstairs bedrooms very hot in summer but fans provided. There is a deck outside but other than that, no outdoor area that is usuable.

It is tired and needs owner input for a few cheap items. But it is warm, it has an outlook and well located near forest walks. Well equipped kitchen. Master bed downstairs very comfortable. I would go back if the lack of hooks and clorhes racks is remedied.

The property doesn't have wifi so kids had to make their own fun.

About the location
Hanmer Springs is a world famous alpine village, and offers visitors the choice of rest and relaxation, or adventure. The Hanmer Springs Thermal Reserve is a year-round attraction for visitors, offering a chance to lie back in natural hot thermal water, with a spectacular forest-clad mountain backdrop. For the more adventurous, Hanmer Springs offers walking trails, horse trekking, golf, bungy jumping, jet boating and rafting. After all that adventure you'll want to check out the myriad of Hanmer Restaurants.
Please note that there is a retained area of the back garden that does not have a full barrier. The drop from the retaining wall is onto grass. All guests should exercise caution when using this area.
Caution is required when using the left drive as it is very steep and only suitable for 4WD vehicle. There is parking available in front of the house for 2WD vehicles.
Please note there is a sky box available if guests wish to bring their own SKY TV card.
There is 1 x adult mountain bike available for guest use.
