“Excellent location, and lovely outlook to estuary and Tairua.”
Great for our kayaks and we also enjoyed having our bikes with us. Swimming at high tide in the estuary was best a short walk towards either Pleasant Point or Royal Billy Point. Would be great for little ones straight out from the end of the road, never very deep. Although it suited us as a couple I would hesitate to call it 3 bedrooms as the 3rd mezzanine bedroom is very much part of the living area with no separating wall and door. Although it suited us as a couple I would hesitate to call it 3 bedrooms as the 3rd mezzanine bedroom is very much part of the living area with no separating wall and door. You can see this in the photos. Also of note, there was no kitchen tidy which made handling waste difficult, we improvised with a tidy bag in a box on the bench. It would be good if there had been a coffee plunger provided. The coffee maker required specific capsules which we had to purchase (we left what we didn't use for the next people). We would also have used a teapot had there been one. Light bulb missing in laundry area and a flickering one in the kitchen. While we are familiar with the creaks and groans of Lockwood buildings it is worth noting that the house was pretty noisy which might disturb some.
