Oceana 21 is a 3 storey, 4-bedroom executive holiday home in Tairua on the northern edge of Mt Paku, with breathtaking panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Tairua beach!

This stunning Tairua holiday home boasts two spacious living areas (a smaller one on the middle floor), modern open plan kitchen and dining, and four large bedrooms (all very spacious!) - spread over three levels!

There is an amazing panorama view from virtually every window in the house looking over Tairua beach and the Pacific Ocean towards Whitianga. Nearly all the bedrooms open out on to a deck and the view is even more spellbinding from this advantage point! Wake up in the morning to glorious sea views and step through the oversized bifold doors onto the long wrap around deck. On the main floors to take a closer look at the waves crashing onto the rocks below - the views are simply spellbinding! There are two further decks to enjoy on the lower floors all with under cover seating.

This great Tairua accommodation option has four toilets and one bathroom and one ensuite which both have a bath and showers. There is a separate laundry with washer and dryer, and 2 car garaging plus off-street parking available.

Wake up to the sound of native birds or walk down the private track through native bush to the surf beach. Every morning a family of quails strolls across the lower deck and you wake up to the sound of Tui. Pods of Orca have even been seen swimming in the surrounding waters near the house!!

There are many other walks on Mt Paku, safer swimming for children at the harbour, plus a ferry to Pauanui.

Tairua has many great restaurants and bars all within walking distance of the house. But most importantly this is a place to relax, unwind, and take in the breathtaking views....

Get ready for a mesmerizing break away in this stunning home....!

The property was very much as it appears in the photos. Expansive, well appointed and perfect for a group of people. Views are stunning.

This is a magnificent property with a view to die for and the house itself is extremely well appointed. We were disappointed at the poor standard of cleaning in the property. Whilst it didn't impact the enjoyment we all had staying at the property, finding dirty roasting dishes amongst other things is disappointing to say the least when you're paying decent coin. Other than that, we loved it.

Bachcare replied

Thank you for your review Ruth. Apologies that the cleaning at the property was not up to our usual high standard. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the views and hope that we can welcome you back again in the future.

A little hard to find, but once there it was amazing.....those views!!!! Best side of Paku Hill to stay on in the winter time, as it gets all day sun. A very warm house with underfloor heating and a fireplace.

COCKROACHES. Our family booked this house for 12 nights and were so disappointed and frustrated to discover that the house was infested with cockroaches on arrival. This was raised to the property manager who not only was unsympathetic to the complaint, but also did nothing to remedy it (aside from bringing a spray to the house which was toxic to our baby). We pointed this out and there was no follow up. There were several other quality issues with the house (i.e. cleanliness, lack of amenities in the kitchen, etc.) that would also prevent us from going back. With that being said - the views from the property were absolutely stunning, the expansive outdoor decks and indoor/outdoor living space were as amazing (if not better) than what you would imagine from the photos. This was listed as an executive rental, but unfortunately it did not match our experience. We would give this a 2.5 star rating.

Hi Jordan, we are sorry to hear that your stay was not as you expected. Bush cockroaches are common in the Coromandel and can only be kept out of houses if all doors and windows are kept closed at all times. Insect sprays are the only way available to repel and kill them. We will review the amenities to ensure they match what is indicated on the listing.
