    “The view was magnificent and the property is beautiful and private.”

    However, there are a number of issues. 1. The smell of the main house is terrible. It’s an everlasting odor of meat. Does not dissipate. 2. The fridge was not turned on nor is there a freezer. How would one freeze any meat or have ice? 3. The cooking situation is a nightmare in that the stove sits right next to the fridge and is very difficult to heat. In addition, your advertisement of a bbq is misleading. It was very windy every day and the bbq could not stay lit. 4. It’s ...

In addition, your advertisement of a bbq is misleading. It was very windy every day and the bbq could not stay lit. 4. It’s insane that there is no bathroom attached to the main bedroom and you have to exit the bedroom at night with wind/rain to go to the restroom. 5. Restroom next to kitchen is terrible. 6. You should consider adding amenities or a note that tells your visitors where to go/what to do in the area. Overall, you have a lovely property but it’s subpar for the reasons listed above and I wouldn’t stay again or recommend because of that.

    Thank you for providing your feedback. We are happy to know that you enjoyed the view and found the property beautiful and private. This property is an open plan kitchen/living arrangement and guests are able to cook what they like during they stay, however the owner has taken your feedback on board. A freezer is available for guest use in laundry. When using the BBQ or outdoor stove top, if the weather is not on your side, guests can utilize the plastic clear blinds for additional protection. Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

About the location

Located 35 minutes from Whitianga, Whangapoua is a classic Coromandel beachside holiday town. The long stretch of white sand and emerald waters make it a favourite destination for a relaxed getaway.
