    “Lovely property and fabulous view.”

Great that the air con was left on for our arrival as it was a hot muggy day. A few things would make it spectacular- e.g., a set of wine glasses rather than 2 odd ones and sharpened knives. Overall happy with our stay

The property

Idyllic views out over the water as you sip your morning coffee out on the sundeck - Does that sounds like something you need this trip? Look no further than The Tide Watcher! The indoor open-plan flow of this holiday home blends seamlessly into its scenic backdrop through the large windows and doors on both storeys. Sleeping up to 5 guests, The Tide Watcher is a spacious and modern place to settle into with the whole family or group. At the end of a busy day exploring the Bay of Islands, sit back and enjoy a glass of wine on the sundeck and watch the turn of the tide. With direct access to the ferry, right on your doorstep - you'll be perfectly set-up to take the ferry to Opua. From here you can make your way up to Paihia, further on to Cape Reinga, 90 Mile Beach, or cruise the Hole in the Rock. Summer or winter, relaxation or exploration - The Tide Watcher has you covered!

Adults should closely supervise young children to ensure that they do not climb the bench seat at the top of the stairs due to risk of falling.

All guests should take care when using the internal stairs as they are steep and do not have a handrail.

Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.

About the location

Opua is a sailor's dream, famous for being the first port for yachts to arrive at after crossing the Pacific Ocean to New Zealand. It's a beautiful and relaxing town with plenty of not-to-miss activities on offer such as bush walks through lush native forest and chartering a boat and cruising around the Bay of Islands (don't forget to look out for dolphins along the way!). All of our Opua holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.
