“The only downfall of the house was the shower was dripping lol.”
But other then that the accuracy of the listing was way off (In a good way) . Photos donât even do any justice for the house. It was so much better than the photos and in the most beautiful place ever! I loved it and the community was awesome! Will definitely be back if weâre allowed

The amazing location draws us back. The house is comfortable and well equipped and is everything a beach house should be. We will be back!

Be prepared for an old bach though, whilst we have stayed here previously, outside has been added to with a shelter which is great for watching the view and plenty of outside seats. However it is an old bach and there is no water pressure so shower is just a trickle. If your happy staying in the olde beach bach then the location is priceless. Best boogie boarding beach in my view.

! Such a cool spot had everything and some board games to use extra water toilet paper etc just the extra that helped make it fantastic, heaps of room and storage space and two fridges and freezers were fantastic!! Loved everything about it

This is our slice of heaven, true kiwiana experience in Ocean Beach where you can go back in time and really feel the vibes of a place still untouched, without the crowds, with the beach just out the front door in a totally relaxed little bach. Dont ever change Ocean Beach......

Like having your very own spot in paradise with beach front access. Loved the wood burner which made the cooler nights nice and cozy. Open access to lagoon (wasnt clean enough to swim in) and beach. 2km walks along sandy beach right on your doorstep.

An ideal place for sitting on the deck and admiring the amazing ocean or taking long walks on the beach. Furnishing and cupboard contents would not meet some peoples high standards, but we loved it!

But this was not the case! The property is very old, it needs a refurbishing. It has cockroaches, spiders and mice inside the property. It also needs more than 1 electric fan during this hot summer as it gets very hot inside the bach. But it cools down at early hours of the morning. The carpet and couches is very worn out and very dirty to sit on - carpet and couches need to be replace. The price is quite expensive for this old worn out bach.

Leon “Amazing spot right on the beach, well set up for our group of 5 adults and 2 children.”
Views from the deck were incredible, and Ocean Beach was paradise with so few people around. The only let down was the cleanliness - we had to give most of the lounge and kitchen area a good sweep and clean when we arrived.

kate “The location is great but for the price we expected a better maintained property.”
There was a notice that the windows fall out if you try and open them and the ranch slider was held closed with a piece of wood. On arrival the property wasn't clean.

Plenty of room. The house sleeps 6 people comfortably in the house with a further room outside which would sleep 6 more but there are no curtains to pull across at the window out there.

we loved it, the bach was perfect for our extended family, heaps of beds, kitchen stocked with pots and pans, everything we needed so we didn't need to leave at all!. Shower had a great pressure ! we all were very aware of water restrictions so were very careful but there was always plenty of water available but Note to take own drinking water and you can't get Vodafone cell coverage there (spark only). So those were little hints about making your stay more comfortable, apart from that we awoke to a fantastic view every morning sitting on the deck, soaking up our Kiwi paradise of that Beach. The waves were awesome for boogie boarding, tried some surfcasting ! overall had a relaxing, wonderful holiday on this beautiful beach. We are definitely coming back ! Thank you for letting us stay.

This iconic kiwi bach is bright and beachy with room for the family - perfect for a refreshing Hawkes Bay adventure! Just a 20 minute drive from Havelock North this Ocean Beach bach includes relaxed open plan living in the main house. Kick back and catch the stunning beachfront views from the comfort of the couch... The wood-burning fireplace lends itself well to cosy winter hideaways, or fire up the BBQ for classic kiwi summers on the spacious deck! The private boat access beside the bach is ideal for the keen boatie, or simply stroll onto the sand for days at the beach. In the main house at this Ocean Beach accommodation, bedroom 1 includes a queen bed plus a single bed. Bedroom 2 has a double bed, bedroom 3 is fitted with a single bed, and bedroom 4 has a queen bed. The separate sleep-out has 2 single beds, 1 queen bed and a double bed - a great option for the kids or teenagers to have their own space! Everything you need for a great kiwi escape is on hand at this fun beachfront haven - kick back on the deck and bask in the seaside scenery, or stroll onto the beach for days in the sand and surf.
