“This is our second stay at this prroperty and noticed the king bed in the main bedroom has been downsized to a queen which is to hard to sleep on comfortably.”
Unfortunately there is no clothes line or hooks to hang wet togs and damp towels. We had to clean the pool manually as the cleaning unit is broken and the spa pool is past it's use by date. It doesn't heat up properly anymore and the water coming out of the jets is cold, it's on a lean and the water was murky and there was a lot of sand in it. There is an area behind the tennis court under the grape vines that is unusable as it's very unkept and dirty. For what we paid we expected the place ...

Kirsty “You pay for the outdoor setting of this house which the kids loved.”
It is overpriced for what it was. The house itself was bitzy and had no flow. Views were amazing but you canât sit and watch the sea from inside, the best view of the sea was sitting on the master bedroom bed. There was no clothes line which would have been useful with all the swimming. Spa was luke warm. Dinning room chairs were cheap and flimsy, some didnât have bolts. Apart from that the location was perfect one block from town. Walkway to beach off section. During summer house is very hot, you werenât able to open all the doors as keys werenât left. we found the beds way too hard. Remote wasnât there for bottom dinning room tv also.

Also disappointing to find that the advertised sauna did not exist. There are numerous windows and French doors that cannot be opened. This made hot days unpleasant. The lovely deck outside the Master Bedroom could not be accessed for this reason. However, the house was in an ideal location -walking distance to beach, playground, shops and cafes; easy, short drive to large supermarkets and Mall. It was very well equipped with kitchenware and crockery. It was a pleasant surprise that dishwasher tablets and washing powder were supplied as well as hand soap in kitchen and both bathrooms. There was also plenty of reasonably good toilet roll. There were plenty of towels for use on the property. The beds were clean and comfortable. The pool and the tennis court were great to have with the children in our party but it was a good job we had taken our own tennis rackets and inflatables as those provided were well past their best. Overall, we had a good holiday but felt that, in view of the above mentioned disappointments, we had paid over the odds.

There's little flow with a small kitchen and the living room being upstairs. The pool was filthy and when I called asking how to clean it no one got back to us. The place served it's purpose but was rather disappointing.

Perfect spot for us for golf. We used the spare gas bottle as the gas had run out. Everything was spot on other than the hot tub wasnât turned on and never really warmed up enough for us to use.

However I found that it is better than I expected. Everything we needed, including- soap, good linen, lots of plates etc, even good tennis balls were supplied (just missing a can opener) . loved that the dining table is big enough to seat a group. The layout is a bit unusual with the lounge on the upper floor, but I think that having the tennis court & pools make up for that. A better sitting area in the dining room would totally sort this though. :)

Comfortable beds. The layout is not great for a family. Bbq not handy to kitchen. Some basic kitchen items not there. Spa stopped working so only could use for first night. Feel the cleaning fee is high considering you have to leave the place how you found it. And rubbish recycling was already full. Location is good

Great location and superb spot to visit Kapiti Island and have a family celebration. My only small criticism is I think shower soap, shampoo and conditioner should be provided. We have rented a number of houses and it is usually included. The kitchen lacks a bottle opener and corkscrew.

No accessible chlorine meant it started to smell and become murky after use. No nice 'touches' were left for welcoming guests such as complimentary coffee, tea, milk. In fact, guests were requested to 'replace the coffee pods' if they used them which was off pointing and seemed pedantic for the amount of money we were spending at the accommodation. Tennis rackets were also broken and there were no balls left out which made the courts unusable and pointless for guests. No shampoos, conditioner left or nice touches like nice toliet paper (only one ply/budget) either - just advice for future guests as an added touch. Location was good however.

Comfortable beds and plenty of towels and tea towels supplied. All the facilities were a great hit with the whole family. Kids were in the pool from 8am. It was a fun relaxing time .Thank you for making our family weekend away so special and memorable. Just a small point. We had to clean the bbq before use as it had not been cleaned.

It had absolutely everything and more, special highlights being the pool/spa, tennis court and BBQ. The prime location of the house also meant we could make the most of the local beach, golf course and shops - with the mall also only a short drive away. We had the best time and would recommend to anyone looking for a place in the Paraparaumu beach area.

With ample accomodation well spread out there is no tripping over each other and accomodated our group of 3 families with ease. Easy access to the sea a bonus just a couple of minutes walk away. Bachcare staff were very helpful enabling a seamless entry/exit to the property. Ours was a family celebration and all 6 adults and 4 children had an unforgetable time. We unreservedly recommend this property

The house was absolutely beutiful just really old as in Windows were hard to open aswel as cupboards and close to neighbours my family laugh loud so dont think its good for loud family like mine but other than that I loved it heaps of things to do just hated having to be quiet

Overall, loved our stay, we had a great time! The pros: - Great onsite facilities, the spa, pool and tennis court are fantastic. We never felt the need to venture out apart from the odd walk. - Good size and well set up rooms, no one was cramped or tucked away and we all had queen/king beds. - Located close to cafes and the beach, so easy access if you wanted it. The cons: - The place is quite old and worn. Luxury and modern may have been true descriptions once, but no longer. - The sauna is quite underwhelming and there is no longer a TV in the pool room. - The house has an odd layout, with the kitchen on a separate floor to the living area. But despite the cons, we had a blast. Highly recommend!
