Stayed December 2021Lovely old bach in a great location on a large section. Our family of 4 (plus 2 grandparents) thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it. Made even more special as by chance it was the same bach that the grandparents had stayed in on their first visit to Kuratau 54 years ago! As keen fishers and hunters we appreciated the selection of old books and obvious history on show.

Stayed March 2021Great kiwi bach, well priced for its amenities and location. We loved our stay with family, perfect for two couples as the downstairs bedroom has the extra toilet. Very peaceful property with lovely walks close by.
Suzanne
Stayed January 2021Kuratau Bach is a lovely older style Bach with heaps of character. It is situated on a large tree-clad section, about one minutes walk from Kuratau rivermouth & Lake Taupo. A reserve on the other side of the river ensures that bird life is abundant. It truly is a delightful place for a holiday. The Bach has every you need & is always clean and tidy.
Alan
Stayed January 2021Very good bach .handy to to lake and boat ramp. Very good location for young kids. We had a very good time with our grand children.
Miranda

Stayed October 2020A lovely tranquil place to stay during the spring, with masses of birdlife and a stone's throw to the lake. Ideal for dogs with both on-leash and off-leash areas on the lake.
Suzanne
Stayed October 2020Once again this property was exactly the home away from home. Warm enough needs and space for our lot. And the kids love that it is just across the road from the lake and lots of bike riding
Aaron
Stayed September 2020Perfect spot with lots of local history hidden in the bookshelf for the rainy days.
Graeme
Stayed March 2020This place is cute, characterful, and homely. Has everything you need. Very quiet area with lots of native birds and an incredible lake view around the corner. It's exceptionally clean. Couldn't find any way of hanging clothes up though.

Stayed January 2020Kuratau Bach is delightful - an older style Bach but with all the comforts. Just as a Bach should be! The location is perfect, just a 2 minute walk to the lake and the river, very convenient for using kayaks. It is a peaceful corner of Kuratau and the bird life is wonderful.
Debbie

Stayed October 2018Truly wonderful bach, can see that it has been well cared for and very well loved. A fantastic "Kiwi Family" bach.
Kathryn
Stayed October 2018The Bach is very beachy but perfect for our family, loved the location and had everything we needed. Could do with better knives and Omori Store was out of wood so best not to rely on that but there were heaters.
Bachcare replied
Hi Kathryn, thank you so much for your feedback and we're glad that you loved the location - we do too! Thank you for the heads up about the knives, we've let the owner know! Glad to hear the heaters kept you toasty!
