The property
Sixties Cedar Bach is a funky retro bach in quaint Kuratau. With a large wraparound deck offering a glimpse of Lake Taupo, and bright open-plan living, this three-bedroom holiday home is an excellent base for your next adventure! Enjoy cosy living with the fireplace for toasty winter stays. In the summer months, set up a classic Kiwi BBQ dinner on the deck and admire the tranquil views and spacious backyard! This comfortable Kuratau base has everything you need for a relaxing lake getaway! The master bedroom at Sixties Cedar Bach has a comfortable King bed and an ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed, and Bedroom 3 has 2 King Single beds, making room for the whole group! This holiday home is an ideal option for couples and families, with well-appointed living and a handy spot within a 2-minute walk to the lake's edge. Turangi, the "unofficial trout fishing capital of NZ," is just a 15-minute drive away, and Taupo is a scenic hour-long drive away. Whether you're coming to Kuratau to relax or set out on an adventure, Sixties Cedar Bach awaits!
As there is a terraced garden area at the back of the property (pictured) adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe.
About the location
On the opposite side of the lake to Taupo, Kuratau is a small peaceful town with plenty of outdoor activities on offer. Spend the day out on the water with kayaks, boats and water skis, or go fly fishing for rainbow trout in the Tongariro River. Being further away from the bustle of Taupo, it's also an ideal location for a relaxing holiday to get away from it all. All of our Kuratau holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.

Awesome wee place, suited our family perfectly- will stay again, generally clean just in need of a really good spring clean (BBQ really dirty, heaps of cobwebs up high etc)
