Linen

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

Treehouse Cottage is nestled in native bush surrounds and just a short walk to the lake edge! With three-bedrooms plus Sleepout, there's room for your whole group, and your furry friend can come too! Treehouse Cottage is two storeys, with cosy open plan living upstairs equipped with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Chill out indoors, or fire up the BBQ for a classic summer dinner watching native Tui and Kereru from the deck! Downstairs at Treehouse Cottage, Bedroom One has a queen bed, Bedroom Two is fitted with a double bed, and Bedroom Three has two single beds plus a queen bed. The Sleepout attached to the garage offers extra living space and has a single bed when required. Treehouse Cottage is an excellent base for a family lake getaway! For days outdoors, you are less than a minutes stroll to the lake for swimming or simply sit back and soak up the views! There are several scenic walks around the lakefront, or through the bush beside the river. Take a 5-minute walk to the river mouth, or head to the nearby playground and tennis court. Explore the Taupo region with an array of activities on offer including fantastic fishing, skiing, swimming, kayaking, and tramping. Treehouse Cottage at Kuratau awaits!

As the barrier on the upper level deck has gaps between the railing, all guests should take care in this area and adults should closely supervise young children to ensure they do not climb on the barrier.

About the location

On the opposite side of the lake to Taupo, Kuratau is a small peaceful town with plenty of outdoor activities on offer. Spend the day out on the water with kayaks, boats and water skis, or go fly fishing for rainbow trout in the Tongariro River. Being further away from the bustle of Taupo, it's also an ideal location for a relaxing holiday to get away from it all. All of our Kuratau holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.
