There were refreshments, herbs and oils all years out of date, some back to 2019. The teabags were from 2022 but we didnât use any of it. We were then accused of damaging a sink that we didnât even use, which was outrageous. The owners need to take a close look at the place and not be so hands off. The view is beautiful but it cannot carry a place that is so neglected.

Rebecca “Our family of 5 had such a gorgeous stay at Pukawa Country Lodge!”
It had so many little extras there that made our stay extra special. We loved the hot tub, the badminton net, the projector to watch a film on, the outdoor fire, the coffee machine! It was so pretty with the grapes growing along the veranda. The beds were all comfortable and everything was nice and clean. Enjoyed exploring the Turangi area and if you have small children we would recommend visiting the National Trout centre as our girls got to catch a trout each and the centre cooked it up and smoked it for us. The lodge sits in such a beautiful setting. Highly recommend!

It's a wonderful place to destress, take in the view from the hot tub, bbq and chill on the deck. The beds are luxurious feeling and you wake up refreshed. There is a fully equipped kitchen and great coffee machine. It's actually the perfect base for winter activities or summer. The property managers were communicative. My guests were very impressed too.

) and is very well set up with badminton, petanque and croquet. The house is extremely clean, well-kitted out with everything you may need and is a convenient location for exploring the area. It was an incredibly relaxing and blissful weekend, and we can't thank our wonderful hosts enough - their communication was excellent. Thanks again!

However they arrived late, left early and kept to themselves so it really wasn't an issue. The property itself is lovely and extremely well set up. The view out over the lake is gorgeous and we enjoyed a lot of time chilling in the hot tub and taking it in. Hosts were very communicative prior to arrival and highly recommend.

On arrival the breathtaking view stops you In your tracks instantly. The luxurious, high quality feel of the household provided an incredibly comfortable and luxurious stay. Everything you could possibly need and more was available at the property and it was a stones throw from the lake entrance for boating at Pukawa Bay. The location is serene, unspoilt and absolutely beautiful. The owners have put so much thought, love and time into the property you donât want to leave. We certainly will be frequenting this property on our trips to Taupo from now on. Why would you went to be amongst the hustle and bustle when you can feel like youâre on your own private resort island here at Pukawa estate! We unfortunately did not get to meet Rhonda and Brett but on dealing with them they seem like the most down to earth, beautiful people. Rhonda was incredibly friendly, helpful and accomodating and nothing was a problem. This property needs to be in Bachcares A listers!

Our Bachcare manager was responsive and helpful. We really didn't want to leave! Only issue was that the hot tub wasn't fixed as promised, and we weren't able to use it at all during our stay.
