Living area flowing onto a deck with fab views of the mountains, very well stocked kitchen, main bedroom had a great selection of books - many of which I have read - and a bonus was that the location is within 5 minutes of a really lovely restaurant, who also do coffee in the morning. 15min walk to the lake-front. Secret walk through a fern glen down the bottom of the garden. Only minor thing is the downstairs bedroom has no door, just the internal stairs going down to it - not a major issue. Would certainly book again.

We had an issue with the BBQ not working which was quickly rectified with a new one. Communication and service from property managers and the owner was fantastic and really appreciated. Great, comfortable stay!

I would prefer to deal directly with the property owner, Iâm not sure how much value a property manager brings (based on one experience with a Batch Care property manager). The cancellation policy of Batch Care seems a bit tough (compared to competitors), I only became aware of this after booking the property (my fault), thankfully we didnât need to use the cancellation policy, however I will consider this when booking my next property.

It is as advertised in the listing, there were no surprises, and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay there. We were there in late November. The place was warm, we did not need to use the gas fireplace.

We had stunning weather so the sun streamed in in the afternoon and it was very peaceful and private on the deck. Great having the gas fire which we did use a few times. Felt very comfortable with plenty of space and a lovely view. Would certainly recommend and we will be back.

The property
Bliss is a 2 storey, 2 bedroom characterful Taupo holiday home. Elevated to capture lake and mountain views, this private Taupo accommodation has decking and great indoor/outdoor flow for easy holiday living. This comfortable Taupo holiday home offers space for up to 5 guests to holiday together, with a bathroom and bedding on each floor. Downstairs is bedroom 2 which is open-plan and has 1 queen bed plus 1 king single bed in an alcove space separated by a bookshelf with an array of books on offer. This room also contains a lovely seating area that looks out on serene garden views. To complete this floor, there is a bathroom and a laundry. The internal stairs lead to the open-plan upstairs living, dining, and kitchen areas where the well appointed kitchen and generous dining table are easily situated for laid back dining. With a number of cosy places to sit, read, and marvel at the tranquil setting, the upstairs living includes 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a further selection of books, plus a bathroom. The warm and bright indoor living flows to the outdoor living spaces via floor to ceiling glass doors. The split level decking offers outdoor dining, plus a lounger and other seating to relax and enjoy the scenery. There is also a BBQ on hand for an ideal summer set-up. Bliss truly is a holiday haven, being secluded and private for ultimate peace and quiet. Serenity awaits... Come and enjoy the Bliss!
