“Lovely home to stay in - highly recommend.”
The view of the lake was amazing and it was great being close to town. Potentially not suitable for young kids (under 5) as the stairs are a bit steep and difficult to block off. If staying as a group of friends be aware the bedrooms aren’t very even, someone will have an incredible bedroom while one bedroom is quite small. But house was perfect for a family holiday, I’d say ideal with teenagers.- Eva, June 2022

Thanks for your review David. The property doesn't have WiFi, as some guests like to get away from it all, so we try and offer properties to satisfy all desires. Being able to run across the street and dive into the lake was precious. The house was very clean with a very modern layout. One of the bedroom windows was unable to open and, as it was quite hot on the first night, this made the room difficult to sleep in. But all-in-all, it was a wonderful experience. About the location
Just a few minutes drive from Taupo Central, Two Mile Bay is a great base to relax and unwind after a day filled with all the must-do activities around Taupo. Staying here, you're minutes from Lake Taupo for days out on the water, a short drive from Huka Falls and Craters of the Moon and at a good vantage point for tackling the Tongariro Crossing. All of our Two Mile Bay holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.
As the balcony barriers, on both the second and third floor, are below 1 metre high, all guests should take care in these areas due to the risk of falls.
Bedroom 1 is on the landing area of the top level above the stairs, which cannot be closed off. Bedroom 2 and 3 can be closed off with doors, however, the guests staying in Bedroom 2 and 3 will have to walk through Bedroom 1 to get to their bedrooms or go downstairs.
