“The downstairs bedroom was missing bedding for our guest down there.”
This put a dampener on the weekend, as we did not discover this until they went to bed...too late to do anything. Not sure why this bed, of all the beds was left unmade. Otherwise we love the Marinaside villa's and plan to stay again. Thank you.

If you don’t like stairs don’t stay, as there is a lot! Great comms from Ali (property manager). Nice pool, very deep at one end! Wifi only really worked on top floor, not good service from other rooms.

We could not find the compendium with wifi details etc. I messaged the host for the details. She was lovely and very helpful. Charging premium and 2022 but there is no Netflix or smart tv system. The DVD player does not work. The stairs is definitely something that needs to be mentioned in CAPITALS out on the listing. No remote to open the gate - we had to get out in the poring rain every time when we got back to open the gate. Dusty skirting boards, dirty window/door tracks. I doubt we will be back.

Listing does not explain there is 2 big flights of stairs to get to living area and kitchen We arrived to find one bed not made up and no towels for that room which had been booked and paid for Found it difficult to contact Bachcare but eventually did and they came and made up be but no towels Promised to bring extra next morning but no towels delivered at all during our stay Not impressed we use Bachcare often but this has put us off

manktelow “The apartment itself was lovely and no issues with that but the neighbor of the property verbally abused us on two occasions for no reason.”
He yelled and sweared at us and told us to get out of the property as he was kicking us out. There was no reason for the abuse and this continued the second day where he once again yelled obscenities at us and tried to physically grab my brother in law. He then parked in our car parks so that we could not park in the complex. Unfortunately due to this abuse we received we would not stay in the complex again.

Good location with a nice pool. Did pay premium price to stay over New Year and was disappointed this did not include any streaming service e.g. Netflix access to entertain the kids, or double glazing to keep out road noise. Would stay again, but not for the premium price paid.

The property
Marinaside Villa is a Taupo holiday apartment central to all the action with WiFi. Relax in style at this contemporary lifestyle apartment with partial elevated views over the marina, lake, river, parks and city. This Taupo holiday apartment enjoys a central location allowing you to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the river to parks and Taupo Central Shopping Precinct... make the most of restaurants, markets, entertainment and many activities on offer, or for the boat enthusiast, the picturesque marina and boat ramp are a mere 5 minutes away. Plus, the secure gated pool complex provides great entertainment for family and friends with a swimming pool and BBQ area! The layout of this 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 3 level home is as follows: On the top floor is an open plan kitchen and living, bathroom with a toilet and hand basin, and a double bedroom opening onto a small deck. The middle floor has 2 bedrooms, one with king bed, the other a queen bed plus a Port-a-cot, a shared ensuite bathroom, and access to the courtyard with street level access. The lower level 4th bedroom is located off the garage and has a double bed. The garage with internal access is 7.5m in length and has an additional very comfortable seating area. A quiet spot to get away from it all. Please note that this bedroom is cooler during the winter months as it is an attachment to the garage, and not as well insulated. Whether it's fishing, boating, skiing, tramping, exploring new territory, experiencing some of the many adventures/activities on offer in our lovely district, or simply relaxing away from your normal routine... Marinaside villa is your ideal holiday base!
The shared swimming pool is heated to 26 degrees between Labour Day to the last week of the first term of the school holidays.
Please note that there is only 1 designated carpark in the complex garage and limited shared parking onsite which works on a first-come-first-serve basis. Additional cars will need to park in side streets close by. All trailers are either to be parked in the garage or on street outside of the complex, due to limited shared parking.
Please note that, as this property is located on a busy road, road noise may be heard from inside the property at times.
