“We had a fine stay but there are definitely some things that need attention!”
Carpet on stairs & bottom of stairs is fraying & coming off Labels were wrong on the lights in lounge There is an Ants problem that needs urgent attention. We lost a bit of food that was left on the bench eww Wall has bowed in the downstairs shower & wasn’t clean, I didn’t want to use it! Taps both drip in the laundry tub Heater in bathroom doesn’t work Some light bulbs were out too Run out of spa cleaner Listing was misleading as the level 2 bathroom is really just a toilet & ...

The feed back I got was that they were very happy with it, nice and relaxed. If they have to go back down there for work, we would definitely hire it again.

The smoke alarm went off in the early hours of the morning, couldn't reach it to check and or change the battery. The garden needs weeding has deadly nightshade growing in unsafe areas. Next time I'll take my gardening gloves. The previous guests didn't clean up after their dog (sadly) we didn't pick it up either sorry. The deck is absolutely lovely, but a gate on either side would be awesome to prevent children and dogs escaping. There are many light bulbs that need fitting. A heat pump especially in winter would be nice (as Granny trying to find an axe to cut kindling after 3pm check in) was not pleasing. The double bed upstairs was very uncomfortable for Granny. Knowing all these little quirks will hopefully help the next guest, if they haven't been corrected. I cleaned the upstairs outside windows and some of the inside ones facing the deck.

Would book again if ever staying in Taupo. Kids enjoyed going to childrens playground a few streets over and plenty of actives at bach to keep all ages busy on wet days.

The downstairs sliding door fell off the rails and was a hazard as well. Lights were also missing. Kitchen utensils and the house in general could have been cleaner. Other than that it was good for the kids.

Was disappointed that hot tub wasn’t turned on before we arrived and it it look over 24 hours to heat , Coffee machine was also missing a hose for the milk but on a positive note loved out stay perfect for our 5 lil children and two dogs

Unfortunately though the house had not been cleaned well with cobwebs and thick dust throughout different rooms in the house. The house is also very tired and in need of a major revamp. We weren't too worried about this initially but when you can't even open the oven door to get the bottom trays out because it hits the freezer door handle it gets a tad annoying. It's great if you're after a basic bach experience and are happy to bring your own hand towels, tea towels, hand soap, toilet paper etc but we expected a bit more for the price we payed. I have been a holiday rental owner for many years and it's the little things that count and make for a great rental experience for your holiday guests.

The upstairs was lovely and clean, good linen and comfortable beds. The kitchen, dining and living is spacious with indoor, outdoor flow. The deck could use some work and perhaps new carpet downstairs or follow through with the wooden floors.

The current state of this house is very average and it needs a really big overhaul to justify what it costs to stay there. It is in a perfect location with walking distance to the lake and town. It slept two families and two dogs really well. Kids loved the tramp and the hot tub is an added bonus. Plenty of space to park the jet skis and utes. This house will be lovely once it has had the attention given to it that it deserves.
