“Nights were unbearable with the heat, couldn't open all windows although they had magnetic fly screens some were not too effective, bedroom opposite bathroom had bed covered in trout flies.”
We had to go and purchase fans. Perhaps its not a good idea for the property manager to leave all lights/lamps and heated towel rails on for arrival as this made the house a hot box the first night arriving at 8pm. Information in the booklet provided is out of date, when woken at 5am in the morning by a system error on the alarm setting off a sensor or smoke alarm above the fridge to beep continuously was annoying, when contacting the number in the book was advised they hadn't worked for ...

The Bach itself was the clean and tidy, the location although it is further than 25 minutes to Taupo as advertised was ideal for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. We would happily stay again on confirmation something done to improve cooling down property.

The blinds in the bunk room were broken and so this is the only problem we had with our kiddies in the room and not being able to get the room dark at bedtime. Apart from that everything else was brilliant!

2 families. 3 adults and 5 children. Comfortable and cozy sized house, huge yard, and 300m to a beautiful bay of Lake Taupo with boat ramp access. The house has beautiful decor, great furniture to accomodate guests, comfortable beds. Kids absolutely loved the bunk room. Kitchen is well resourced, actually entire house is. All the small touches like hot water bottles for everyone and the hot outdoor shower- just great. Absolutely great bang for your buck. Highly recommend. Will be back in summertime!

Great space for 2 families, especially ideal with 2 separate toilets and infinity gas hot water. Excellent proximity to the lake with a great little bush walk only 50m from the front door. Super comfortable mattresses. Can't wait to visit again in the summer time to take advantage of the deck and lake.

The decor was absolutely beautiful. There were activities/games and videos etc for the evenings. The kitchen was really good including standard appliances + dishwasher and all the crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment that you could possibly hope for at a holiday home. Best bedding fit would be for two couples and four children as the 4 bunks are best suited for children but we did have two shorter adults using two of the bunk beds.

TV didn't work, tinfoil under the stove elements was very dirty. No key left for use of outdoor furniture and BBq. Bathroom sink was blocked.

Next time we will take the kayaks out for a spin as the children really wanted too but we were unable to this time around. This home was close to Turangi and Taupo and it fit in well with what we were doing during this stay. Thank you.

Positioned just a 2 minute dive from Motuoapa, a 10 minute drive from Turangi and 25 minutes from Taupo, Taruna is a 3 bedroom holiday home. This modern lake base is a great option for your next break away! This peaceful holiday home includes well presented open plan living, with everything you need for a relaxed stay. For cruisy summer stays, the spacious and sheltered deck offers the perfect spot for BBQ's while the kids play on the generous lawn! Two kayaks with two lifejackets and two paddles are available for guest use. Bedrooms 1 and 3 at this Tauranga Taupo each have a queen bed, while bedroom 2 includes a double bunk with a single on top plus a single bunk set with a trundler. For days exploring the area, you are an easy stroll to the lake, a safe swimming area, bush walks, and the boat ramp. Plus, the warm outdoor shower is on hand after days in the lake... You are just a few minutes from the Tauranga Taupo River - visit the various fishing spots, as well as the hot pools, or head to the ski field a short distance away. Your Lake Taupo escape awaits, welcome to Taruna!
