“After ringing to confirm lockbox code before we arrived, still had incorrect code, had to ring Sandy with bad phone connection.”
Had this same issue when we stayed 2 years ago! Also, came loaded up with food for our 6 night stay only to discover there is no freezer anymore!! Had to hastily cook anything that wouldn't last. Loved our holiday, but these things need to be sorted as still states freezer on info.

Charlotte “Beautiful location & we loved our first trip to the sounds as a family.”
The property was hard to find initially as we couldnât see the sign on the gate as it was open. We couldnât unlock the lockbox and had to call Sandy for help as it had changed and not been updated on our booking confirmation email. Couldnât find anywhere to hang clothes to dry eg. Clothes airer or a washing line outside. Apart from the signs on the wall in the kitchen there was no welcome pack/ guest book etc, maybe some more comfortable chairs/couches to sit on would be nice

...considering this bach is in the best beach in Mahau Sound, with care and maintenance this house could be an outstanding property ..needs a freshen up

So quiet, peaceful and truly beautiful. The birdsong was amazing. Fished off the beach with some success and even caught a good sized snapper. Intermittent Spark coverage from the deck and beach but having an electronic-free stay was so nice for a change. Relaxing old-school. Happily recommend this magical place.

We enjoyed a week of sunshine and swimming. A very secluded beach, warm water, and right on the doorstep of a great bach. Highly to recommend to anyone thinking of staying here.

The sea was clear and warm and the beach was clean and beautiful and the morning birdsong was wonderful. A family of quail and wekas were in the garden and wood pigeons, tuis and bellbirds in abundance. A huge fabulous umbrella and BBQ meant we lived on the deck. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed in the main bedroom was super comfortable.

This classic kiwi getaway is the perfect spot for a refreshing break away, with all the basics for a fuss free stay, in an absolutely stunning location! This Moetapu Bay bach includes cosy open plan living, with a wood-burning fireplace to ensure toasty winter stays - kick back on the couch and gaze out to the peaceful Sounds scenery. For sunny summer living, easy outdoor flow makes BBQ's on the deck a great option, with uninterrupted beach and bay views! Bedroom 1 at this Moetapu Bay accommodation is fitted with a queen bed plus a single mattress when required, while bedroom 2 has a bunk bed with a queen bed at the bottom and a single bed on top fit for a child. This is an easy wee set up for couples or a family. This tranquil and private location is ideal for a laid back holiday - unwind and enjoy magical sunrises over the water, stroll down to the waters edge for walks along the beachfront, or set out on adventure... There are walking and cycling tracks to explore, an array of beaches, as well as boating, fishing, and wineries to visit... Plus, the bach is a short drive by sealed road from Havelock. Sounds Magic has you covered for a beautiful Moetapu Bay stay!

Just a half an hour drive from Havelock and an hour from Blenheim, Moetapu Bay is an excellent base to explore the Marlborough Sounds. Head out on the water for some dolphin spotting near the Perlous Sounds, tackle the stunning Queen Charlotte track or simply take in the magical views from the shore over a nice picnic.
