Such a cute and traditional bach! I am keen to come back. Beautiful spot, and the bach has all you need.

As four friends having a catch-up and a weekend away it was the perfect spot and lovely old kiwi bach with no phone reception as a distraction (but 2 minutes walk away there was phone reception at the beach). The beach looked like a lovely safe beach for children. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the morning in the sunshine listening to the birds singing. We did find that the bach had not been cleaned properly and was very dusty which was disappointing. This could be easily rectified though with a good spring clean.
Hi Jan! Thank you for your feedback and we're sorry to hear the cleanliness of the bach could have been better. We've passed your comments on to the local team so that this is rectified. We're glad you still had what sounds like a lovely stay!

Great place to stay. Really peaceful and close to Matakana and beaches. Our family really enjoyed the getaway.

This house wins by being walking distance to a lovely swimming beach and a short drive to all Matakana and region has to offer. It has got a tiny bathroom and very limited communal space, but it does have a large deck.
Hi Bronwyn, so happy to hear you enjoyed you stay in this bijou property. We have clarified the description of the property

A very retro bach on a quiet street. I loved the amount of native birds - we saw kereru, fantails, tonnes of tuis, quail etc! The kitchen appliances are awkwardly arranged and there is no shelving in the shower/basin area. Fine for a short stay but I think would be annoying for a longer one !
Hi Ann-Marie, happy you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for the feedback about this bijou property.

This is a cute traditional Bach with a well equipped kitchen and the double bed is extremely comfortable! A lovely lawn to throw down a picnic rug. Reception is patchy (ok on Vodafone) but if you want to switch off as we did this is not a problem. Lovely bay at the end of the road with a good playground; plenty of bird life and a wonderful dawn chorus. Tawharanui is a short drive away and such a gem on this coast.

We had an excellent break, thank you so much. My only criticism would be the plates, cups & knives and folks were greasy when we used them. It was obvious the last users had washed the dishes in cold water & or not washing liquid. This was a shame. This aside, excellent stay, lovely neighbours & David our host was most accommodating.Great birdlife all around!
