“House was ideal for two families with teenagers.”
Clean and comfortable with plenty of space for all. Having three bathrooms was fabulous! A really well-stocked kitchen with plenty of glasses, plates, cutlery etc and lots of little extras in the pantry which was much appreciated. A particularly lovely view of the estuary and surrounds from the the deck. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Daisy “Worked well for 3 couples - loved having our own bathrooms.”
Decor pretty dated but did the job and was clean. The deck was nice to spend time on. Great location

However the state of cottage is not pleasant. The house needs thorough cleaning of dust, spiders, cobwebs and grime in the kitchen. Rugs need cleaning. The furniture needs updating - the dining chairs are wobbly, the sofa old and musty and so are the beds - so wobbly and squeaky that you cant turn around in the bed without waking the whole household. The duvets are old. There is no noise barrier between the floors so when people walk upstairs the noise made is heard loud and clear from downstairs. The shower jets are just so ferocious in the both upstairs bathroom. It hurts the skin when showering. The cutlery is greasing and is old. Basically everything is old and musty and needs updating in a huge way. The property has so much potential. I would love to return back and recommend to other people but not in the current state its in especially compared to the other properties we saw in neighborhood. Kindly Ashika

... we absolutely loved it there.... we only used the bottom to sleep and use the toilet.... and the garage was super handy as well.... our lab slept in the truck.... as it was raining but we loved our stay.... definitely would book again and recommend to family and friends

The view over the estuary was lovely and the stroll to the beach was easy and only took 5 minutes. Would recommend to others and would easily stay again. Thumbs up! Thank you.

Lovely outlook to the west. Small living area. Beds ok, not marvelous. Basement bedroom spacious but cold. House is old but bathrooms and kitchen were clean. Kitchen well stocked with crockery, but cutlery not great. Mostly steak knives for some reason. Basic oven. Internet not good, Netflix kept cutting out. Couldn't find the remote necessary to get normal tv working.

Kitchen fully kitted out and includes a dishwasher. Heaps of parking. Great wee spot, close to beach and golf course.

Also in a great location with stunning views. My only thing I would say is don’t book this place if you have a group of adults as the neighbours complain about any noise. For a house that’s capable of sleeping 10 adults it is impossible to not produce noise that’s going to upset the neighbours. I would advise this house is suitable for families only. Other than that overall a good property.

The property
Omaha Heights is a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom Omaha holiday home. This relaxed and sunny holiday home is a great base for extended family stays, with gorgeous harbour views! This 2 storey holiday home includes open plan living upstairs that flows onto the deck... fire up the BBQ, soak up the sun, and gaze at the views. This is the perfect spot to unwind! There are 2 bedrooms plus 2 bathrooms upstairs at this Omaha accommodation. Bedroom 1 is fitted with a queen bed, and bedroom 2 is fitted with a double bed. Downstairs, bedroom 3 includes 2 single bunk sets plus 1 queen bed. A third bathroom completes this floor. When required, a mattress is available for use in Bedroom 3 or the living area. When you are not putting your feet up on the deck, head to the beach a short drive away or wander to the estuary. Everything you need for a fuss free beach break is on hand. Welcome to Omaha Heights!

About the location
Just an 8-minute drive from Matakana is the long stretch of a white sandy surf beach that is Omaha. This is a great area to base yourself from, located within a short drive to all the gems of the area such as Snells beach, Sandspit, Campbell's Beach and Tawharanui National Park. The best place to be in Omaha is certainly beachside, watching surfers battle the waves or taking a dip in one of the calmer areas yourself.
