Tree Top Hideaway is a unique holiday home privately set among tranquil native trees in picturesque Sandspit, Matakana. Listen to the sound of the birds and the serenity of the native woods in an architecturally designed holiday home built into the natural surroundings.
Sleek open plan living, with tiled floors and high ceilings. Spaciously laid out, this three bedroom split-level property provides ample room for a holiday base to explore the many vineyards, sculpture parks, beaches, Matakana market and Kawau Island.

There is plenty of room to relax and soak up the sun. Enjoy al fresco dining from the BBQ area. Tree Top Hideaway feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but is within walking distance to the marina, Sandspit cafe and wharf where the Kawau ferry departs daily for the island.
After a day of exploring the beautiful Matakana region, return home to your own peaceful oasis and enjoy a drink in the afternoon sun. In winter months, the wood burner will keep you cosy as you settle in for the evening.

The house is absolutely lovely and the setting in the trees is just magic. The house is very close to all attractions in the area. I would recommend this house to anyone and will probably stay there again myself.

Nice spot but house needs a good clean and some maintenance done on it - not value for money in my opinion. Third bedroom has no door so cannot be closed off for privacy.
Thank you for your feedback! While the third bedroom does not have a door, it is accessed via a hallway that has a door separating it from the kitchen/living area. The third bedroom is also up half a level with a short stairwell making it quite separate. We're sorry to hear that you felt the property wasn't up to the expected standard. We appreciate your feedback and can confirm that maintenance and cleaning concerns at the property have both been addressed.
