Boat Parking: the driveway is steep and narrow and clearance for the roof line is approximately 7 feet

The 4th bedroom is a converted rumpus room, located off the garage. This room has its own ensuite.

Just a 10 minute drive from Warkworth, Snells Beach is an ideal spot for a family beach holiday. The beach itself has beautiful golden sand and shallow water, making it perfect for kids to swim in. The town has a number of great cafes and shops, and Brick Bay Winery is a must-visit for wine and sculpture lovers. “There was plenty of room for the 6 of us that stayed, the kitchen facilities were perfect for us, seating was plenty.”

The beds were comfortable. The location was perfect and view from your deck was spectacular. We can't thank you enough for allowing us to stay. The shower, toilet were very clean and things were easy to find. The driveway is small, so you don't want to have too many vehicles but that doesn't take away from the beauty and amazing house. For those who need internet, the connection is fast and clear, shops are very handy within walking distance of this beautiful home. The house was very warm as well.

“Great property, and well laid out.”

Suited our needs well. It's cold without proper curtains and no heat pump, but ample electric heaters did compensate once they warmed up. There was two things that let it down from being perfect. Firstly there was no council rubbish bags for our rubbish (it was stated there would be) so we had to go and buy our own. Secondly I asked twice for a late check out. The first time was a couple of weeks beforehand and I was told to ask closer to my leaving day, and when I then asked just before I had no response.

Sizable and roomy inside but a bit threadbare. Carpets to be replaced and perhaps a new lounge suite. The property was not very well cleaned when we arrived as if the cleaner was in a hurry but overall a very nice stay.

“The size of home & location were perfect.”

The home needs attention , the shower pressure was bismal , the TV didn't go and even the teenagers that we had couldn't get it to work , however there was a power cut and after that it went. The drier didn't work and we had 6 people with only 6 towels, had to take them to the laundromat. No soap tablets for the dishwasher either.

The space to spread out. The kitchen had everything we needed. The home is quite tired, although everything worked as expected. The beds were too soft for us. Close to all amenities, including surrounding beaches, Matakana and plenty of vineyards

“The location was fabulous but the property was really grubby and damp.”

Downstairs bedroom so damp it was unusable. We don’t mind threadbare carpet and old furniture but we do mind unemptied rubbish, grimy kitchens and bathrooms.

“Not a good house to stay at if you suffer any allergies.”

Very damp/musty. Curtains backing crumbling off and blinds in a bad need or replacement. Generally run down, however the deck and views are lovely.

“The location of the bach is excellent.”

The area was quiet, and the views were great from the windows and deck. There is a walkway through to the beach, so walking to the beach took around 10 minutes which was good. The bach is of a good overall size. However, there were a number of issues which detract from this bach. Some of the points may be related to the fact we had 6 adults there but given it is advertised to sleep 8 with 4 bedrooms, this shouldn't have been an issue: 1.) The bach may not be insulated. It was ridiculously hot inside the bach even with every door and window open. This made sleeping at night extremely difficult. There was no fan in the master bedroom. 2.) The dining table only seats 6 so not sure how 8 people would be able to fit. 3.) There is a general lack of serving dishes, mixing bowls, platters etc. We bought a salad bowl and left it there. The knives were very blunt which made preparing food hard. The fridge freezer is small, and with 6 adults we ended up using a chilly bin as well, otherwise you would need to shop every day. 4.) The waste disposal unit did not work 5.) The main lights in the master bedroom did not work and there were no replacement bulbs (presuming it was the bulbs) 6.) The ensuite shower head doesn't really fit the holder which means it kept falling out or down. The toilet constantly fills. 7.) The deck has a number of proud nails in it and my son cut himself on one. 8.) The wooden deck furniture is old, and at least 1 seat was broken. We didn't use it as a result 9.) the BBQ on the deck has part of the frame rotted away, and is balanced on a block of wood. 10.) Laundry tub cold water tap doesn't work 11.) The outside bin is way too small for waste. there were no bins in any of the bathrooms 12.) The 4th bedroom is at the back of the garage. It isn't very nice and it was nicknamed the dungeon 13.) There was a lot of ants in and around the house. Overall, it seems like the bach was not been maintained very well, Overall, we felt is was not good value for money.
