Stayed July 2020Thank you for amazing stay! Such a beautiful house, perfect for 2-3 families to stay. Everyone had their own bathroom and space. It took a little bit time to warm up, but after that it was nice and warm even at night. There is fireplace that heated pretty much the whole house and heaters in each room. The grounds were beautiful and kids absolutely loved alpacas. Omega was helpful and always ready to answer our questions. We’ll be back next year

Stayed August 2018I cannot rate Rivendell highly enough! The property was very well maintained, well insulated, well stocked, a quick hop to Ohakune, and secluded enough to feel like you are in Tolkien's Rivendell. With more than enough sleeping space, our group couldn't even fill all of the rooms, yet the house felt cozy and homey - particularly with the use of the fireplace, which also had more than enough extra firewood than you could ever dream of using! The alpacas on the property were a blast to feed and hang out with, and the sunrise/ set were absolutely stunning from the second floor balcony. For a weekend getaway with an unbeatable view, or a spot close to the national park for all your outdoor activities, Rivendell will have a bit of everything for everyone!
