Andrew “Received wrong keycode, pouring rain, keyholder quite high so bad luck if you are short, I broke fingernails attempting the numbers I had been given.”
Had to make a ph call to be told the 'correct' number! No info on where laundry key was kept, definitely wanted a washing machine - some deft searching of nooks and crannies found them - in a shell on the mantle piece!!! OBVIOUS???? NO! - perhaps a note about that in the instructions OR put them on the main keyring. It was raining some of our stay so we didn't try and open windows - there is noted that some are difficult with sashcords & this dates back some time!!! The morning we left was quite warm - a big fan in the top rooms would be helpful. Unit in good position, very well equipped with v. comfy bedding etc. Lounges & chairs not quite so comfy BUT this is a very personal thing - everyone wants something different. Also LOVED the artwork, especially the rock climbers (our family are into that).

Immaculate stylish and well equipped space and kitchen for cooking. Cool aircon for the summer heat downstairs. Upstairs gets a bit hot in the bedrooms but not too bad if you keep windows open to get cross breeze. Very central location and incredibly close to the beach. One of the best place we have stayed at in our travels.

Perfect location to walk around town, visit the local sites and travel to and from out of town places of interest. Couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy a family break away.

The place is very clean and tidy, and very well equipped. It is ideally situated close to the town and the main parade, but still in a quiet location. The owners were lovely, and everything went smoothly. I couldn't recommend it more. Thanks again!

About the location
Just five minutes west of the city centre, Marewa was originally part the inner harbour and 'rose' above sea level in the Earthquake. As a result most of the suburb's housing was built in the Art Deco style and forms part of the Deco Tourist Trail. It has its own shopping centre and there are reserve walkways to take a stroll.
