It is a beautiful house in an excellent location, which is reflected in the price. There was a bit of trouble afterwards as we had booked and paid for cleaning and then were charged for some vacuuming and kitchen spills, and also for the repair of a curtain rod that had fallen down while we weren’t even touching it. The cleaning charges were reversed but we are still waiting to hear about the curtain rod. Small things but at that price point standard maintenance should be included I feel. Nonetheless we would book again, also because the communication while we were there was very good and helpful!

Beautiful setting by the river. Close to town and walking tracks. Very clean house. Plenty of space. Loved the lounge, kitchen, main bedroom is huge. Gorgeous ensuite with skylight. I would put darker/thicker shades on the skylights in the bedrooms to make it darker in the mornings and adding sky sport would be great. Thanks we really loved this house. Definitely would stay again. Had everything we needed.

Modern clean and well laid out. Perfect location. Center of NZ walk is 5 min away. Botanical gardens and Suter art gallery is also 5min walk away. The best swimming holes on the matai are only 5 min drive away. Would certainly recommend to any family looking to explore Nelson. We hope to return some day. Thank you!

Stayed for a mountain biking trip and it’s very well positioned - can ride to the trails from the front door, and only a short walk to supermarket/town. It was quiet at night and felt secure. Nice relaxing living room to hang out in in the evenings. Would stay again.

- Kate, January 2021Clare “The house is in a superb location, just about 10-15 minutes easy/flat walk from the centre of town and right by the Maitai river (with pretty riverside walks and views from the house) and Botanic Sports ground (leading up the steep hill to the “Centre of New Zealand”), meaning there are fabulous walks on the doorstep.”
The house is a delight. Very good facilities, a very comfortable bed in the master suite; great shower; very good linens. There’s an air-con unit in the living room and an efficient (and much needed!) ceiling fan in the master bed. The other two bedrooms are smaller but seemed fine. The family bathroom is downstairs. Washing machine and separate tumble dryer were very useful. All in all, we had a fantastic week here and were very sorry to leave!

Had everything we needed. The bunk bed in the third bedroom is great for little ones. River Dance Townhouse is in a wonderful location, so easy to walk into town - a flat, 5-minute stroll. The terrace was lovely to sit out on in the afternoon sun and for breakfast and the river bubbling away at the bottom of the garden was a special bonus. Many thanks, we will certainly be back and would recommend to others coming to Nelson.

Excellent location to town and an easy walk. The house is very warm and sunny . A gorgeous patio that overlooks the river with lots of bird life to listen to and watch. The kitchen had everything we needed and very clean. We look forward to staying here again when next in Nelson.

Away from the bustle of town but still really not far away and so easy to get around. Two minutes to a great walkway along the hills with views over Nelson and the harbour. A++++

River Dance is a peaceful and beautifully decorated townhouse overlooking the tranquil Matai River. Here you will enjoy leisurely hours with a glass of wine, cooking al fresco dinners on the BBQ. It is furnished with everything you might need on your trip to Nelson, including space to comfortably sleep up to 5 people, 2 spacious bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen and laundry. There is also ample private off street parking. Situated perfectly to be able to enjoy beautiful river walks, and the many cultural and outdoor pursuits that Nelson is renowned for.
