We loved staying at the Red Door. Beautiful old villa with original features but also mod cons for comfort. Really warm with heat pump and fire if needed. The beds were really comfy and the whole place just had a really nice homey feel about it. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed our stay at this Bach. Spacious house with character inside and out. Large rooms and fully equipped kitchen, and the fire came in handy at night. Location is excellent as is only a 5 minute walk to town. Would stay here again in the future.

An excellent cottage which is within walking distance of some great restaurants and cafes. Have a washing machine with a 15min wash was incredibly useful for all of the togs and towels from a day out kayak or swimming.

A lovely traditional villa in a great location. Had all the amenities we needed and comfortable beds. A great base in Nelson . Highly recommended

Nice, tidy and spacious property. Only minor issue was a lack of cutlery and basic cooking utensils but otherwise very happy. Had a big group with four adults and young children and it was well setup for the children with a toy box that was an unexpected bonus.

Awesome location with great pedestrian access to the city, walkways, parks and river ways. Lovely accommodation. This was our second stay.

A delightfully furnished, very comfortable, beautifully presented older home. Its location provides easy access to both the inner city and surrounding area. A great place to stay.

This property is ideally situated on edge of city area with nearby access to walkways and swimming pool nearby. The cottage is maintained in excellant condition with a full range of amenities. We stayed for 13 nights and fully enjoyed our time at the house. Would fully recommend any stay there.

This property is lovely, clean, uncluttered and obviously very well cared for. It has everything you need, is a 5 minute walk from town, has a lovely park across the road and is accessible to everything. The property Manager was so helpful and was very gracious about a number of changes we made.

Red Door Nelson is in excellent proximity to Nelson's vibrant township of restaurants and cafes. Across the road from the delightful Queens Garden. Clean, well appointed home of character, comfortable and providing all the conveniences.

Definitely recommend this lovely home, immaculately clean, in central city so handy to shops, cafes and also near galleries, river walk and swimming pool. But also a nice quiet spot. We would stay here again.

Comfortable spacious property, only problem is that the property is managed by Bachcare.
Hi Steve, we are so sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your experience with your local Holiday Manager. We really appreciate this feedback and have taken it on board. However, we are so happy to hear that you loved the property itself we think it's a real gem!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Red Door Retreat and we'd be very happy to stay again! The property is spacious, and was very clean and well presented on our arrival. We appreciated the off-street parking and enjoyed the prettiness of the property with the striking Mexican red vine, the hollyhocks and the bougainvillea. The property is also close to the botanical gardens, the Suter Gallery and the river. It is also in enjoyable walking distance from the town centre. Thank you very much for a lovely place to stay.
VickiStayed November 2018
We found this a charming place. Although there was only 3 of us this would have easily fitted 5-6 without getting in each other's way. It had everything we needed and was within walking distance of everything in the central city.

nice house, very central which is great but on a cross roads of a busy route in and around Nelson, so the backyard, which is fine, is spoilt by car noise.
