This is an old but very comfortable house. Plenty of room, modern kitchen, well laid out and very cosy. Would recommend staying here - we intend to do so again!

The perfect escape weekender for a group of friends - had all we needed to spend time together. Thank you for sharing

Not long after we arrived at the property, I noticed that the kitchen floor was becoming wet, I tried drying it with a towel but whenever I walked on the floor more and more puddles would appear. Turns out Bachcare were well aware of this and informed me via a text reply that it was the hot water cylinder leaking... while this may not seem like a big deal, it was actually a real “dampener” for us. It was slippery, you couldn’t walk into the kitchen without shoes on, and it just felt gross. The more time spent in the kitchen the wetter it got. We were so disappointed, it may not seem like a big deal but try living with it for 3 days! Especially when you need to make up a bottle in the middle of the night and have to find shoes to put in first as to not slip or end up with gross wet feet. A few other wee quirks, such as the shower - definitely read the guest book on arrival so you are aware on how to have a shower, use TV etc. Lovely hot fire
Thank you for such comprehensive feedback and we are happy to report that this has been fixed, and it is absolutely not the norm for guests to arrive to a property to this kind of issue - we pride ourselves on letting guests know well in advance and offering alternatives. Your feedback is very much appreciated and has helped us to refine this process.
