“Got into the property in the evening to find there was no hot water.”

I called the Bachcare line and someone told me they would send someone out to fix it in the morning. I was also told they would give me a call to give me an eta on his arrival. I woke up to hear someone not only in my house but also in my friends bedroom where he was sleeping. I had no call and it was a complete invasion of our privacy! To make it worse the person who arrived didn't fix the issue to we weren't able to shower. After it was fixed on a return visit we tried to cook in the evening but the hob doesn't stay on. We tried everything and I have videos to prove the problem. We ended up using a George Foreman style grill in one of the cupboards as the hob wasn't working. You can tell others had used it as it was still greasy and dirty. Overall not impressed to spend a lot of money on a nice place to stay when the basics don't work.

“Fabulous place to be with all the modern comforts of home.”

Newly built, clean house that's very suitable for a family, a friend group or a getaway couple. Great spot for accessing local skiing, wineries, mountain biking and eateries. Beautiful views & fresh air from the front porch, located in a new estate, it's close to town for the lake, shops, pubs and other amenities. Can't wait to visit again. The Place To Be - Wanaka Holiday Home is my number one choice on the South Island, absolutely!

“We found the house to be e perfect for our family ski holiday.”

It was so spacious and appreciated many of the houses features, such as the heated floors in the bathrooms, the spacious bedrooms and the fire in the living room. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment which made cooking in the house very easy. There was a minor issue with the cooktop, but someone came out to look at it the next day and it appeared to have been fixed. Being only 30 minutes from Cadrona it was perfect for our winter getaway. Would happily stay there again.

Please note that two surveillance cameras will be operating for added security during your stay. These are located externally by the front door looking out at the driveway and internally in the garage.
