After hiking, biking and adventuring around Rotorua, it was fantastic to have such a comfortable base to come back to - the heat pump and heated kitchen floor meant we were cozy and warm, even in mid-winter. The house was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed, and it has a fabulous view of the lake. The tennis court, pool and spa on site were an added bonus with teens in tow. Blue Heron is great value and I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

Unfortunately the queen and king beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The second night we dragged one of the, single mattresses upstairs and put it on top of the king bed, and put the two single duvets under the fitted sheet on the queen bed and were sort of comfortable. Apart from the terrible beds we would recommend this accommodation.

A beautiful home away from home. A great space that accommodated for teenagers, tennis, table tennis, pool & best of all the gym. we would definitely book here again, & hopefully the unit next door for friends.

The place had lots of warm heating, and was equiped with board games and Netflix. The view was beautiful out to the lake. It would be great if you could look at wheelchair accessible entry in the future :)

Loved it and the facilities. Let down by the dishwasher being full of dirty dishes and no tablets for the dishwasher. We had to hand wash the previous guests dishes. Also the frypan was filthy. Otherwise all else was great.

It had so many perfect holiday activities for us to make use of. It really felt like we were using a family Bach that we could just turn up to with limited supplies. Plenty of books, games, pool and sport toys to keep everyone happy and well entertained. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were so comfy.

Being able to use the kayak was such a treat and the house had a great supply of board games, dvd's etc. It was clean and had absolutely everything we needed. We did pop out and buy some ear plugs as the upstairs room was bit noisy when the young ones were playing games until late and we wanted to sleep, mainly due to there being a blind over the door way. Apart from that we loved it and would definitely book again.

However the recent condition is not really great. I could see broken furniture and cobwebs around fire place. Property ma ager was least interested in listening to anything about it. They expect you to clean everything after use while the property was left dirty on arrival. Had a bad odour coming from the house. Definitely not spending the money in it.

It had everything we needed for a few nights with two small children - including a very well equipped kitchen, board games, washer/dryer. It was warm and toasty with the gas fireplace and heat pump, plus extra heaters in the bedrooms. Helpful instructions and manuals provided for the various appliances etc. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into ensuring this is a comfortable place to stay and it shows!

We loved the location, just out enough to be beautifully quiet and peaceful, but close enough to central Rotorua also. Loved the deck and grass area, and gorgeous lake view. Also very impressed with resort facilities, pools, tennis court, restaurant etc. Thank for a wonderful holiday, we would love to return!
