Heather “This was a quintessential kiwi house to stay in.”
Just across the road from the beach. Comfy beds and so peaceful and private. The kitchen was so well equipped. My 90 year old mum, my husband and I had such a great break here. I can imagine kids loving this place with all the outdoor space and trees to climb.

I loved that it had a traditional bach feel that was welcoming and comfortable. Property had everything we needed. The direct access to the beach was exactly what we ordered. Will definitely be back again.

No direct view to the water yet it is only 50m from the beach set in a private orchard! Has everything you need for a fantastic family holiday. Waiheke is a great experience.

We loved that it was an older style cottage with comfortable furnishing because for us this was very relaxing. The cottage was scrupulously clean and had everything we needed. It is set back from the beach front in a large garden with lovely old trees and provides shade as well as sunny spots. Within sound of the sea, and a quick walk for a swim, but also quiet and private. Many thanks for a great stay.

Linen
Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. Weâll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
Located in a prime location just across the beach access road at Onetangi you will find Onetangi Beach Cottage a secluded traditional Kiwi cottage set amongst pohutukawa trees. Just steps from the beach, the cottage is set in a large secluded garden with fruit trees , BBQ, and a large flat area for the kids to play in - the perfect set-up for a traditional family holiday experience! Inside the house the traditional theme continues, but with added modern amenities such as WiFi and Sky TV. The open plan living is cosy and a great place to watch movies or enjoy reading a book. Bedroom 1 is fitted with a queen bed and has direct access to the bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a single bed plus a singe bunk set and is accessed through the sun room which is fitted with a single bed. When required, a double sofa bed in the lounge is available. The house is in the perfect location for all that Waiheke has to offer. Just a 2 minute walk to Three Seven Two and Charlies's, and just a flat 3 minute walk to the bus stop, so it is easy to get to the ferry at Matiatia, the supermarket, Oneroa, and the many vineyards. And of course Onetangi Beach is only a 30 second stroll away! Welcome to Onetangi Beach Cottage!
The driveway to the house is grass covered so care will need to be taken driving across it during wet weather.
There is a traditional trampoline in the garden without any safety netting. Children must be supervised and care must be taken by all guests using it.
