Richard “This Raglan bach is in a lovely location and is on the whole well presented and equipped.”
BUT, and it is a big 'but', the lack of any blinds or curtains on one whole side of the kitchen/living area makes being in the bach at night an uncomfortable (in terms if privacy) experience. Curtains or blinds are as essential to a dwelling as a roof in my opinion. Without the latter you are open to the elements, without the former you are open to prying eyes. Also where blinds have been installed on shorter side of the living area they are of questionable quality in terms of privacy and almost transparent in terms of light. One also failed to lower. The same kind if blind is fixed in the main bedroom meaning the light pours in the morning, but that is, less of a problem than the big open window and glass door areas in the main living section. That needs to be rectified.

Due to the considerable privacy provided by the outdoor trellis and beautiful native bush, the owners have never felt the need for block-out curtains in the kitchen and living area, preferring instead to enjoy the extensive views unencumbered. Lovely stylish decor and all the amenities needed. No complaints. Only feedback would be to add a fan to the rooms as on a hot still Raglan day/night it's quite uncomfortable with no air flow, even with all doors open.

The closed-in deck and outdoor bath was awesome. Facilities were great. A short stroll into town. The one thing which would have been good are curtains in the bedrooms, particularly the room with the bunk beds as the street light was very bright throughout the night. Apart from that it was perfect and would recommend.

I couldnât have asked for a better birthday than to wake up to that view outside my window. Really clean and comfortable, it has everything you should need for a few days away. 5 mins from town, close by to the beaches etc. We just used the local taxi service the night we wanted to have a couple of drinks which didnât cost much as youâre so close and he was really friendly too.

A lovely home in a quiet spot with beautiful views but very convenient to town-just a few minutes drive. Place is as in the pictures-thoughtfully furnished and decorated with a light airy feel-very clean and tidy. Jenny was fabulous to communicate with-very responsive, welcoming and informative. Grocery stores are small and ok for staples-not a wide variety of fruit and veg. Good coffee and treats from the Shack and Isobar. Zinnia is lovely book/gift store with helpful staff. Nice drive to Ruapuke beach and Bridal Veil Falls.
