    You provided everything we required, thank you also for the treats you left for us. When we first arrived there was a bit of a hiccup getting into the house but after a couple of phone calls on the 0800 line the Bachcare people sorted us out. Apparently, the email containing the instructions hadn't been updated to include the new code for the keypad. Both Bachcare operators were so helpful and kept everyone calm. Excellent facilities, true to the photos on the website. We will recommend ...

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

Situated in the hills of Havelock North, Hikanui Haven is a luxurious home complimented by a gorgeous pool and outdoor living areas to appreciate the views! Filled with neutral and wooden tones, the living areas are perfectly positioned to take in the rural outlook and extend through to the outdoor living. The separate lounge provides maximum comfort with lush auburn leather couches, a Smart TV and a gas fireplace, while opening up to the pool via folding doors. Step through to the formal dining table, ideal for families and friends to gather around. With views from the kitchen sink, cooking will be a breeze in this charming and functional kitchen. Split over two levels, this holiday home sleeps ten, while additional sofa chairs are suitable for children and accommodate up to four extra guests. The master bedroom has its own private balcony and ensuite – equipped with a tiled shower and spa bath. Meanwhile, the upper level provides two additional bedrooms and a convenient full-sized family bathroom. Downstairs, there is a self-contained unit comprised of a king sized bed, double pull-out bed, kitchenette and ensuite which extends to a private courtyard – the perfect couple’s hideaway! The home is encompassed by outdoor living areas to maximise the surrounding views. The decking provides outdoor seating - perfect for al fresco dining as you overlook the pool and landscape. With extensive decking and balconies, you can immerse yourself in the stunning vista! You’re located on a well-tended and beautifully landscaped site. Located just south of the town centre, you’re just a four-minute drive from the charm of Havelock North central – which provides a range of boutique shopping, cafes and restaurants! There’s plenty to explore in the area - Tainui Reserve is just across the road and the Te Mata Peak is a 12-minute drive away, with breathtaking panoramic views of Hawkes Bay and biking and walking trails. The grand piano is available upon request, but please use respectfully.

The garage is available for use but will have to be opened with internal switch.

There are four levels. The top floor of the property is not to be used by guests.

About the location

Located just 5 minutes from Hastings, this growing country village is a perfect base to explore the coastal settlements of Ocean Beach and Waimarama. Well known for it's local produce Havelock North is also home to many well known New Zealand wineries - the perfect excursion for those who like to relax with some wine and good cheese. The town also offers many shops and prospering cafes as well as a thriving arts community. The weekly market is a must-visit.
