Cycle the Hawke’s Bay Trails

Spanning around 200 kilometres of cycling trail, the Hawke’s Bay Trails covers all special parts of the region. From coastal trails with amazing seaside views, to rivers and countryside, you’ll get to see the best of Hawke’s Bay. Cycle time varies depending on what you feel like doing, you can go for a couple of hours or up to 4 days to experience the ultimate adventure. The trail is almost entirely flat, so it’s easily doable if you’d like a casual relaxing bike ride through the region. It’s divided into three sections - Water, Wineries and Landscapes.

Getting to Your Hawke’s Bay Accommodation

Hawke’s Bay is located close to major New Zealand destinations such as Taupo and Rotorua which is a short 90-minute drive to Napier. There are plenty of ways you can reach Hawke’s Bay,

By Car - Just under 6 hours of drive from Auckland or a 90-minute drive from Taupo. 

By Air - Hawke’s Bay AIrport is located 10 minutes away from Napier. Air New  Zealand has daily flights from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. There are a few smaller airlines that operate flights from smaller towns.

By Sea - There are plenty of cruise ships that hops off at Hawke’s Bay. It is one of the best ways to travel and explore the region.
