    Went with 7 other adults and there was space for us all at the dinning table, and on the couches. The kitchen is great with plenty of bowls, pans, oven trays and utensils - although touch & go with the cutlery. The fire warms the whole place really well. Games, jigsaws, pool table provided great chill time activities. Beds were comfy, bedrooms warmed by the fire. Outside porch was great to sit on in the rain - although there's a problem with the guttering and it overflows in two ...

Games, jigsaws, pool table provided great chill time activities. Beds were comfy, bedrooms warmed by the fire. Outside porch was great to sit on in the rain - although there's a problem with the guttering and it overflows in two places. I do recommend bringing your own drinking water though - it's fine for cooking & teeth cleaning etc, just doesn't taste the best. There's an extra fridge in the shed, so there's heaps of space for it. There was also heaps of firewood, kindling & fire starters provided. Instructions for getting key were simple. All in all great place, well done to the owners. 100% would recommend. Hopefully will return at sometime in the future.

Linen

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

At the edge of Waikawa town offering a slice of peace and quiet, Tranquilo waits for you and your family or group. Your summer vacation by the coast will feel complete with the BBQ and outdoor shower, as well as loads of water toys to use down at the beach, including boogie boards for the kids and a couple of kayaks! The kids will also absolutely love the sandpit at Tranquilo! This holiday home is also ideal come winter, with a wood-burning fireplace on hand for warmth in the living area. Imagine enjoying some downtime at the end of the day, or a good meal whipped up in the fully equipped kitchen, with the fire roaring in the background. Just 600m from your home away from home you'll find the sandy shores of Waikawa Beach for a little bit of fun in the sun, and if you're after your flat white fix, just an eight-minute drive down the road will have you in the small township of Manakau where you'll find a couple of cafes. Or it's only a 14-minute drive south to Otaki for eateries, a supermarket, outlet shopping, and the beautiful Otaki Beach. Ready to welcome you this trip; absolute Tranquilo!

There are life-jackets available to use with the kayaks but we do recommend that guests bring their own well-fitting life-jackets to ensure safety.

Please note there are no outdoor fires allowed at Tranquilo holiday home.
