Linen

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

A stone’s throw away from the shores of Paekakariki Beach, Beach Cottage offers a beachfront escape that embraces the essence of seaside simplicity. Elevated, it overlooks the sparkling ocean from the covered deck where you can enjoy outdoor living rain or shine. Natural sunlight throughout, and an original interior welcomes you inside. The cosy window seat captures the views, while the living-dining space benefits from the warmth of a wood-burning fireplace. Beach Cottage has two bedrooms, and sleeps up to four guests A functional, separate kitchen is on hand to prepare a meal.. The first bedroom enjoys a queen-size bed, while two singles make up bedroom number two. A light, bright bathroom completes the practical set-up. This big section offers an abundance of trees and greenery; there’s roadside parking outside the front gate. The best beach on the Kapiti Coast is just across the road; swimming and the local surf club await. QE2 Park is a minute away. You’ll find an array of cycling and walking tracks. Paekakariki village has a very good store and three excellent cafes. The iconic railway station is right there and there are railcars to and from Wellington all through the day. Experience a simple, seaside stay at Beach Cottage!

About the location

Paekakariki is the southern point of the Kapiti Coast, and is an easy scenic drive from Wellington. Paekakariki Hill Lookout has views stretching from the Marlborough Sounds to Mount Taranaki. Paekakariki is home to Queen Elizabeth Park, with walkways and a working tramway museum, that is currently used to service the trams and trolley buses that operate in Wellington. At Paekakariki Station there are a number of restored trains that visitors may like to look through. A local favourite eatery is The Fishermans Table Restaurant, offering an extensive, family-friendly, reasonably priced menu.
