“Great house, all the bits you need, lovely outdoor seating area.”
5mins walk to the beach through private access path. The only down side was the dreadful neighbours across the road. I got the impression that they lived there or it was their own bach. They played the loudest music I've ever heard from about 3-6pm the first day, same the next day, while their kids played on a skate ramp. This made sitting outside or having windows open impossible (and the thump thump vibrations still went through the house). The Saturday night was Karaoke night til ...

Michael “Lovely Bach.”
Great spot, in spite of the five out of six days of rain. (Not your fault! And it didn’t spoil the stay.) What did spoil the stay to a fair extent was: 1.The floor in the lounge had not been properly swept. Our grandkids found dozens of plastic BB pellets on the floor on arrival. 2. The toilet seat was broken and we tried to call Bachcare on arrival, but no reply. (Sunday evening 5.00pm, I get it, but what if the key had been missing or broken in the lock, or there was no power or water for some reason?) You need to have 24/7 response in this business. I then emailed Bachcare thinking it would be found on Monday morning. No reply at all even as yet. I phoned on the Tuesday and reported the matter. I was told that the property manager had been informed and would sort things out. Toilet seat still broken. No sign of property manager yet. 3. A soaking bath towel had been left in the kitchen sink. 4. The cushions for the outside furniture had been stored away soaking. As it turned out, the weather meant we never used them, but still. Put them inside the house rather than in the chest on the deck. 5. We replaced a number of light bulbs. That should have been checked before the cleaning/maintenance guys left before our check-in. 6. The barbecue needed serious cleaning before we could use it. 7. Old frozen food left behind in the freezer - should have been removed. Coffee was rock hard. There was no sugar and very few stale tea-bags. For us, this was not a cheap week at all, so one would expect minimum stuff to be there and fresh as well as basic cleaning done. 8. The swing-seat on the deck is rusted through (back bottom right-hand corner as you look at it) for future users that could be dangerous, So, in essence a great house in a great location, but marred by too many avoidable issues. Easy to fix if management checks up properly. I don’t think we’d book again through Bachcare, if or when we return to NZ, to be honest.

Noah “We had a lovely stay.”
The only thing to be wary of is that we decided to bring our own linen (to save $25 bucks per person, our one year old was classified as a full paying adult I came to find out later on) which in our minds means sheets and pillow cases only to find that when we arrived Bachcare classifies towels and even a bath mat as linen, so we were left a little bewildered with no towels when paying a considerable price per night.

Nicely decorated, good kitchen. However need to get a few more basics sorted . Shower mouldy and did not drain as hair had not been cleaned out of drain. Mast bed squeaked a lot and we ended up putting mattress on floor at 2am to get some sleep. Sofa's threadbare. Indoor walls in master room wet with condensation on cold night. More room allowed for storing food in kitchen would be good.

Old food laying around on floor in some places. The bbq was disgusting as it was never cleaned by the last people there was no bbq gas had to get a family member to come and bring us a gas bottle as we dis nit see why we should replace gas for the bbq that was stated was included. Everything was fine beside the dirtiness and the bbq

Neisha “Dirty, cobwebs, spiders and ants in the bedroom and dining room, rubbish and opened food left in one of the bedrooms, all the rubbish bins have bags inside that are too small so makes a mess when putting things in there, bbq left disgusting, no gas for bbq, internet didn’t connect and bachacre customer service was terrible.”

The house was clean, warm and tidy with all the facilities we needed for a comfortable stay, and the information left in the house was very helpful.

This is the quiet end of Papamoa and so nice to be away from the hustle and bustle when on holiday with family. Local parks and cafes are nearby to satisfy the kids and the cravings and we enjoyed the spaciousness in the home, the outside lounge was a great spot for morning coffees.
