Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
Immerse yourself in lakefront living with stunning views of the idyllic scenery surrounding Okere Falls make the most of this beautiful location and enjoy a refreshing escape at the stunning Onepoto Bay Lodge. Featuring a stunning living room with sliding doors that open up to a beautiful balcony area, you’ll be able to enjoy your evenings, watching the sun go down over lake and hills in the distance. Prepare your meals in the beautiful kitchen, or spark up the barbecue and enjoy your dinner outside! Ideally suited for large groups with children wanting their own space, this home has a second lounge area downstairs with its own fireplace ensuring cosy getaways all year round. In summer, you’ll no doubt be wanting to get out onto the water. Make use of the kayaks or for those who wish to bring their boat, a jetty is available to use during your stay (please refer to the special conditions). To launch your boat, the nearby Otamarae boat ramp is only a few minutes down the road. The home is just a short 25-minute drive away from Rotorua where you’ll find shops, cafes, restaurants as well as being a half-hour away from Papamoa. Close by, make sure to visit the beautiful Tutea Falls as well as one of the many thermal natural springs. Enjoy a relaxing stay at the beautiful Onepoto Bay Lodge.
As the property has unfenced access to the lake, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.

Important information regarding boat access.
-Boats and trailers over 5m are not permitted down driveway. Please launch boats at the boat ramp and park trailers at top of drive (bring your own locking system to ensure the safety of your trailer).
- The jetty at the bach is shared so please only use the right hand side.
- Boat trailers can be parked on the lawn.
- No boats can be launched from in front of the property - please use the nearby boat ramp.
There are two kayaks available to use but guests must bring their own life-jackets to access these.

“A very restful Lakehouse.”
Nice to wake up to the rising sun streaming in, especially in winter. Special to have an open fire at night. Feels remote even though just a short hop away to amenities. The family loved being able to go across the lake to the Manupirua Hot Springs twice daily.

But you've got to do something about the water pressure, it's just unacceptable. We couldn't have regular showers for more than 1-2 people or use a washing machine or dishwasher enough. It slowed to a trickle or stopped completely for an hour or so. When you're talking bookings of up to 8 people its just not possible. And you need to let people know that the neighbour is renovating his house so running saws and powertools ALL day from 8am-6pm.

Paula “10 out of 10 for location, has plenty of space for bigger families, great downstairs area with table tennis table, love that kayaks are supplied and has it’s own jetty to have JetSki/boat for easy access.”
Unfortunately the place is quite run down, needs better water pressure installed as showers only dribbles (sometimes no water pressure at all) outside heater didn’t work, upstairs toilet seat was broken, bedrooms full of spiders & webs, loungers on deck need replacing as rusty, would definitely book again if these things were fixed as otherwise it isn’t worth the money we paid for 5 nights

2 to 3 stars for property. Keycode wrong for lockbox but sorted with phone call. No water on entry another phone call to Bach care and sent a maintenance guy out who changed water filters. So had water. Waited as presumed hot water would come. No hot water for entire stay on top floor. Shower downstairs had hot water. Sent electrician out but 5gen he turned off hot water so ended up no water at all to dishwasher. Had to wash with water from kettle. No dishrack to dry. Overall great stay in fantastic property. Nice to have kayaksand lovely access to water, was amazing and wud come back for that. But just felt not used and not well maintained. Spider webs throughout property, loose loo seat (previous review had commented on this), blinds are mouldy, bbq filthy, table outside caked in dirt. For amount paid would expect a clean property in functioning order. I get issues arise but felt that if it was just a filter this could be done on routine.

Boating access was great even with easterly days. The upstairs toilet seat needs securing ( loose ) .I took the rubbish out and when I went to bring it back down at end of day (Monday ) the bin was lying on the roadside and lid was partly broken , still functional but council may need to replace . Have already booked 3 night stay again in Feb 24 Cheers Mark

Enjoyed some incredible family moments with probably the best weather of the summer. Location is what makes this property memorable. The kids loved the small beach and large lawn to play bullrush. Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short a night due to the toilets not flushing. We were not prepared to fill the toilet up from the lake every time someone went to the toilet. After such an incredible stay it was upsetting that it ended shorter than planned due to the facilities.

Yes the view is amazing, but the property needs to be priced accordingly. The pictures showed kayaks and then you provide four with only two paddles and no life jackets. The table tennis bats are so shoddy they hardly had any rubber left on them, the blinds, walls and ceilings are all filthy and the benchtop in the bathroom is disgusting and falling apart. The shower head in the upstairs bathroom is so low that it hits you in the stomach and the place fills with bugs even when every door and window is shut. The water filter hasn't been changed for so long that water barely runs through it. The clothes line was falling apart and covered in moss, the oven door doesn't shut and the outdoor area was covered in moss and mould. There was no access to wifi despite it being available in the area and the television was shoved in a corner so it was hard to see. There was also no access to a decent number of television stations. You also do not provide any brochures, maps or information about the area and the only information left for us was a list of things that we shouldn't do and threats to charge us if we did. If you charged half the price a night it would be overcharging for this place. We have been here for two weeks and have stayed in a variety of places with yours being the most expensive and the worst by far. We are currently staying in a brand new modern four bedroom home on a cliff top with all amenities including a spa, in a tourist location for $200 a night less than you charged. Bachcare needs to be very careful representing you as it is their reputation that is damaged.

I have informed bachcare and they said they will inform property owner. A deep clean, outside water blast would be beneficial for future renters. Otherwise Onepoto was a great house to stay in.

The kids had a ball at the private beach and especially in the kayaks. Maintenance was lacking at the batch, the dishwasher was broken and the top toilet would not flush properly. There was also a sewage smell coming from the top bathroom that wasn’t pleasant.

Well set up for 6 adults, plenty of room and handy having two bathrooms. Upstairs open plan area really works well with large groups and having own jetty at lakes edge worked well as we had two boats, easily launched from public boat ramp 10 minutes away. Looking forward to returning.

100 million dollar views, and sits right on the lake. The day we were leaving, the sunrise was just stunning over the calm waters. Liz who is the house manager was always very helpful with emails and easy to get a hold of aswell, and super down to earth and easy to talk too. Will be staying again at this bach again in the near future. Thank you for letting us stay at the beautiful bach
