    “The house was great - we enjoyed our stay there very much.”

    Very well equipped and stocked kitchen. Lovely view over to the sea and the hills on the other side of Golden Bay. Prior to our stay, I had a communication problem with Bachcare - who said that linen was “sorted” when it wasn’t. Also, it’s a pity that the mechanised awning on the upper deck couldn’t be used. There is no form of shade on the deck.

Linen

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

A bright and airy, first floor open-plan living space is waiting for you, and your family or friends, to get comfortable after the journey here, or a day out exploring. On a warm summer's day, open up the bi-fold doors and create that all-important indoor-outdoor flow, letting the coastal breeze through to cool things down. Come winter, the heat pump keeps things cosy and warm as you put your feet up with a good book, or turn on the Smart TV to watch that new Netflix show everyone’s been talking about. After you’ve been out fishing for the day, park the boat back up on the driveway, and use the fish cleaning station to get your fresh catch all ready to grill on the BBQ. Grab a lemon from the tree in the garden, whip up a salad in the fully equipped kitchen, and share a meal inside at the dining table as the sun goes down. After a day full of excitement, there’s a place for everyone to retreat to, to recharge those batteries for tomorrow’s adventures. Three bedrooms on the ground floor offer a combination of queen, double, single and bunk sleeping options, and a generous sized bathroom has both a tub and a shower. Upstairs, the master with queen bed and walk-in wardrobe is simply a haven for relaxation, with views to get lost in. Te Wharepuni is only a short walk from the golden sands of Tata Beach. Grab the beach bag and take the nearby walkway for a long stretch of sand and a safe swimming spot. If you fancy an adventure on the water, visit Golden Bay Kayaks for a guided paddling experience or simple gear hire. If you need to top up on basic supplies, the Pohara General Store is just a seven-minute drive away. If you need a little bit more than that, and your barista coffee fix, the town of Takaka is no more than 20 minutes away. Pack your beach gear, hitch up the boat, and get ready to relax - Te Wharepuni is waiting for you.

Tata beach is a small beach with golden sand located in the Golden Bay region, and surrounded by mountain backdrops. With tide patterns making it possible to swim all year round this is a great destination point to kick back and relax, or as a base to explore the close by Abel Tasman National Park.
