Home to a plethora of native bush and wildlife, including Kiwi! Kawau Lodge is a paradise that balances relaxation and a diverse range of activities. Fabulous for families and friends it's available for your exclusive enjoyment! The stunning location has been designed with flexibility in mind, for groups, events or individuals seeking an island getaway! From team building corporate events to health retreats, weddings to honeymoons, whether you're here to unwind, or explore all the island has to offer, the hospitable team will help make your stay unique and memorable. The retreat boasts 8 luxury rooms (7 rooms with super king beds which can be split into king singles and 1 twin single bedroom) sleeping 16 total. All king rooms afford fantastic views of beautiful North Cove and surrounds. Kawau Lodge also includes a large, well equipped private kitchen with commercial grade Nespresso coffee machine and well appointed lounge room with wood fire to keep you cosy and warm during those cooler months and evenings. The outdoor dining area is situated to optimise the spectacular views from the lodge's wrap around deck areas. All whilst providing a wonderful range of water activities, hikes and relaxation for your special getaway. Four king rooms boast private en-suites, while three of the king rooms offer a shared bathroom with one twin bedroom. The property has been completely renovated since 2016 and now includes 65" Smart TV, conference facilities, outdoor lounge spaces, its own jetty and a cabana. There are a wide range of activities available, including row boats, kayaking, fishing and swimming, paddle-boarding and hiking. You can also travel via Kawau Cruises to visit some of the other famous attractions on the island including Mansion House and the Copper Smelting station. The retreat is nestled into acres of beautiful green space that includes tropical landscaped gardens. Catering can be provided by yourself, or be arranged with Nebalicas caterers in Warkworth who will ship it to you via Kawau Cruises. The native flora, fauna and wildlife is a treat to behold and guests will be delighted to see many New Zealand native birds and fish up close and personal. Guests can use Kawau Cruises & Kawau Water Taxis from Sandspit Wharf which will bring you directly to Kawau Lodge. There are no cars on the island.

There is a private mooring which can be used to park a boat. There are no specific size requirements.

Please be aware there is no mobile phone reception and no shops on the island. The only provisions at the lodge are for breakfasts (cereals, bread, bacon, eggs etc).

Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.
