- Chris, November 2023Kathy “The house was filthy, the downstairs toilet wasn't cleaned there are spiderwebs everywhere inside and out.”
The glass was covered in finger prints and the windows had a film of dirt over them in and out. There was no coffee apart from a complicated machine. The bench had a container of coffee grinded beans that was mouldy. The shower downstairs floods the whole room every time you use it as the door isn't sealed. Very disappointing especially for the price of the house.

India “We were not impressed by the cleanliness and upkeep of the property.”
It was very dusty with lots of cobwebs and dead flies. During our stay we also had a cupboard front and door handle fall off, the tap in the bathroom was extremely loose and the gas bottles were all empty. I contacted BachCare regarding the gas bottles and their lack of action was very disappointing. Location and size of the property was the only positive to our stay. Not worth the cost in my opinion.

Paul “The house is lovely and well equiped but it needs some TLC as drawers are wonky, door handles loose or coming off and some equipment is missing so difficult to use some of the appliances.”
In general the place was clean - beds and bathrooms etc - but there were toenail clippings on the lounge floor and the rubbish bins were overflowing when we arrived. I put the bins out but the green one was full of rubbish and so was the yellow one. Needs some care an attention which would then make the stay an excellent one.

Simon “We booked this as a get away with friends, we couldnât get into the property on arrival for a hour as the key was not where it was described - no big problem.”
We understand things donât alway go to plan! The house should have been clean especially for the cost. The kitchen and living space was filthy. The outdoor bins were nearly full (we were there for a 4 night stay), the bbq surfaces on the outside were filthy and similar on the cooking surfaces. There was a rusting, broken outdoor heater outside that had scattered shards of rust all over the deck below. All of above we cleaned up except the bbq which we didnât us. There were other minor things but it all added up. We rang the day before we left, so Bach Care were clear how we found the property and that it was sub standard. First time weâve every complained and weâve rented many propertyâs before, all through Airbnb to be fair. This property relied on its view for the cost. Not worth it. If someone whatâs to ring as I asked previous, great. I took photos as Bach are requested but we donât intend to use them, my holiday itinerary didnât involve forming an email complaint with photos as asked!! A review take much less time. Hopefully this review might produce a better experience for the next group.

Perfect for a large family gathering of 14 people. The house is well equipped with everything you need. Beautiful views and great location. Only suggestion would be to clean the duvet covers, they were a bit dirty. The house is also not very sound proof. Our kids were up early which meant the rest of the house were woken by their noisy pitter patter.
