Reuben “Reasonably well appointed accommodation, albeit smaller than anticipated with a lack of furniture.”
It sleeps 4 people, but certainly doesn't have the ability to sit a family of 4 for a meal, or even all be on a couch at the same time. On arrival we found the floor filthy, and shelves dirty. With no access to a vacuum (in the locked cupboard), and only a broom, it was a bit hard to get to an acceptable standard. There were flies & moths in some of the crockery. Someones water bottle under the queen bed from a previous stay. The wi-fi did not work for the 3 days that we were there which made a working holiday a waste of time. Nobody really seemed to care about the issues we had. Would expect a lot more care for the price paid. Great views and comfortable beds.

Jen “Fabulous apartment with stunning views, we had a wonderful stay!”
Just a couple of things to note, it says on the website that it doesn't have a hairdryer which it does, but it didn't have an iron or ironing board or shampoo and conditioner, both of which we would have loved. Other than those small things we would highly recommend the apartment.

Juliet “Lovely high spec decoration and spectacular views!”
Beautiful unit. Reason for 4 rather than 5 stars: Was a bit smaller than we were expecting, for a family (not enough seating for all of us, so one kid on the floor) and same price as a 3 bedroom modern house with views which we often rent in Akaroa itself. From photos we thought a bit bigger than reality. Would be nice also to have had coffee pods for the nespresso and milk (even if capsules) so we could make a coffee in the morning.

A quick 5 minutes drive to Akaroa for restaurant and cafe. Experience let down by floors being very dirty/dusty upon checkin. Needed to use broom and dustpan to tidy up before settling in.

Quiet and serene, and the perfect distance from Akaroa. 5 minute drive to town for cafes, restaurants, and activities - but far enough away that you can escape the crowds.

Accommodation was clean, quality fixtures and fittings, linen and appliances. Owners were there for duration of our stay at adjacent house and they were just as lovely as the property.
